I was introduced to the series with the Ocean cast in 1996, but adjusted to the Funi in-house Texas cast when they took over during Season 3. Hated those voices at the time, but they grew on me. I am attached to that cast now and can't imagine the characters being voiced by anyone else. I even went back in 2009 and watched through all of Z in Japanese and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. That said, I couldn't stand Nozawa as adult Goku. He doesn't need a high-pitched voice to illustrate the fact that he is an uneducated hick. A grown man should sound like a grown man, regardless of the dialect.
