Going Off-Script

Have you done anything in a Dragon Ball video game that is "Off-Script" and went against the narrative of the game?
The Tenkaichi series (specifically 3) is notorious for this (i.e. winning or losing and altering the flow of the story presented in the match).
But are there other games you like to mess with to change things up?
For me, its Budokai 2. When I play Budokai 2's Story, I like to spare Raditz and Nappa in the first stage (by getting the Dragon Ball), have Ginyu and Recoome get blown up by Frieza in the third (Namek), take out Dr. Gero and the Saiba Rangers turn into regular Saibamen, and beat Frieza and Cell in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber stage before Buu absorbs them.

I remember I kept using Gohan when I was fighting against Nappa in the BT3 story mode

I don't think I've played many games where you can do that. I really have only played Budokai 1 and 3, and Xenoverse. I technically have played those what ifs in Budokai 1.

Budokai 3 , Burst Limit (to an extent) Battle of Z and Xenoverse to a degree as well all come to mind.

I remember I had Vegeta and Captain Ginyu get blown up by Freeza in Budokai 2. Since Kid Gohan is not playable in the story mode for Budokai 2, I just let Goku kill Cell and I also had Adult Gohan kill Dabra in Budokai 2 too.
