Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Goku will NOT turn regular Super Saiyan! I've said it before and i'll say it again. His SSJ Form has been Replaced by SSJ Blue! Meaning that whenever he tries to turn SSJ he automatically becomes Blue. it makes NO sense for them to introduce a new form in one Arc and completely blow that away in the next Arc! JESUS! I guess you people just WANT him to turn gold. But i'm here to tell you that will NOT happen! Toyotaro probably doesn't feel like inking his hair every time Goku or Vegeta turns SSJ. And like i said before the Manga's new Cover shows both SSJB Goku and Vegeta. Also Vados remarks that Goku isn't turning "normal SSJ" like regular or something along those lines.
It's pretty clear to me that the golden version is pretty much out of existence.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
well we just have to see what happens in the anime considering a lot differs between it the manga and anime plus due to the anime titles to see how it fits.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
well we need to see how it goes in the anime to be sure but as you said it could be an coloring error.GodVegetto91 wrote:Goku will NOT turn regular Super Saiyan! And there is the fact that SSJ Blue is literary on almost anything that involves advertisement for Super.

Piccolo fans are hoping it's golden regular SSJ because then there is slither of hope that Big Green puts up a decent fight against Frost.GodVegetto91 wrote:Goku will NOT turn regular Super Saiyan! Because let me tell you, if it's blue haired Goku then its implied that Frost is on that God level too , meaning Piccolo would get wrecked in one shot. I sincerely hope that doesn't happen.

of course he can't piccolo is only at best FPSSJ tier what the hell he's going to do to someone who's god tier in power.Wezenheim wrote:I don't think Piccolo will be able to win based on power anyway, unless Frost gets worn out. Goku in his base form is far above Piccolo. If Piccolo wins, he'd have to outsmart Frost (find a way to hit him with the Makankosappo or get him out of bounds).

Not that it means the non-shaded hair is a mistake or anything, but there's also a panel in this chapter where Frost is drawn/inked with Freeza lips.

The only hope is that Big Green got a power up which they didn't show in the Manga and will hopefully show in the Anime soon. But I wouldn't bet a fortune on this.pacz360 wrote:of course he can't piccolo is only at best FPSSJ tier what the hell he's going to do to someone who's god tier in power.Wezenheim wrote:I don't think Piccolo will be able to win based on power anyway, unless Frost gets worn out. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Well here's the thing, Bandai are the grand sponsor of Dragonball Super and the biggest supporter of the brand. Let there be no confusion here - Bandai are the guys who are pushing this product and have the most to gain financially from its success. As a company who makes most of their Dragonball-related income from merchandise sales, the more transformations and forms that the Anime advertises, the more excuses they have to ship out merchandise.
Think of it this way - say Goku turns regular Super Saiyan wearing his new dogi for his fight with Frost - that would instantly create an excuse to sell an action figure. Is that a cynical argument? Sure - but it's not necessarily an invalid one, there's plenty of precedent for it. Take Dragonball Heroes for example: the damn game stays afloat by giving characters new transformations.
But yeah, I'm still going with the 'colouring inconsistency' argument. I think Goku will be Blueku.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Goku turning Gold doesn't have to mean Blue vanishes. It makes no sense for Toyotarou not wanting to ink their hair because with computers that's no chore at all and even Toriyama didn't stop inking Goku's hair, and he sure was fed up with it.
While it's true the anime never gave it a name and the episode title saying "Super Saiyajin" might refer to Blue, the fact is that it already has an official name plastered all over every merchandise depicting it. All of this is strange.

piccolo would still get stomped considering goku base is already above the likes of piccolo and such him being ssj like against beerus in space increase the gap even further.Gorou wrote:I think that it's a common SSJ.
Otherwise Piccolo would not have a chance against Frost.

Your argument is not a very valid one. You say it would make no sense for them to introduce a transformation in one arc and blow it off in another. Battle of Gods introduced Red hair SSG and the very next arc "blew it off" and introduced the new Blue haired form of Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (super saiyan blue). I agree with you that he most likely is in his Blue haired form in this latest manga chapter but no one will know for sure until the anime episode is aired.GodVegetto91 wrote:Goku will NOT turn regular Super Saiyan! That third form doesn't fit Frost's personality at all.

Yeah, it's not like Toyotaro didn't have time to ink the hair either, it's a monthly manga. The episode title also says that "this is Super Saiyan Son Goku", so why are you guys refusing to believe that Goku can still turn into the regular SSJ?

I suppose you could argue he made it look like that for intimidation purposes but unless U6 is crawling with God Tier fighters and is more like U7 where there's a handful of elites, then it doesn't make much sense for him to even need a "scary form".Doctor. wrote:That third form doesn't fit Frost's personality at all.
I'd prefer it if he couldn't, simply because the whole God thing is already a mess without needing to throw the added wrench of "Oh! So he CAN use his regular SSJ forms!". Seems like needlessly overcomplicating matters.Sandubadear wrote:Yeah, it's not like Toyotaro didn't have time to ink the hair either, it's a monthly manga. When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Exactly, especially when we know the form that SSB is based on reverted back to looking like normal. It's not out of the question to think the same exact thing could occur at the higher levels of the SAME form.

Can we please tone down the overall indignation? It's best not to jump to conclusions, particularly when no-one here actually holding the issue in their hands. Beyond that, please don't be the person who clings to their made-up rules/assumptions about how this is all supposed to "work"; being a Dragon Ball fan, you should know that this author in particular doesn't feel the need to do anything other than whatever he wants to do in that exact moment.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I found it rather funny when the observers (I think it was Roshi), commented that they couldn't see the movements of Goku and Frost while they were fighting.
I mean how many times have we heard this comment in tournaments or battles before? Classic Toriyama.

Almost every single writer who writes fights uses the line that the people watching can't see there movements.
