I like consistency as wellThe Lecherous Muten Roshi wrote:You know, I can hardly believe I'm saying this, but thanks to the cropping, I'm really probably going to not get any of these sets beyond the first two.
And I'm only getting these first ones because it's the only way I can get all the episodes. Aside from those, I'll just complete my collection with FUNi's previous releases, assuming they're still in production. Then again, that'd be pretty inconsistend, and the remastering sure is nice.
Also, at a point I was hoping for Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT to get sets like these, but now I don't think I really care. Maybe if they do get releases like this, I'll complete my collection in this form, for the sake of consistency. Maybe. It really depends on what kind of impression this first one makes on me.
Gah, I don't know. -_- I like consistency, so I'd like to have everything in the same format. Then again, I can't be certain that it's even going to happen. And the cropping is a pain in the butt.
Bah! The more I think of it, the more it disturbs me. Would it have killed them to make it fullscreen? To really make it the way it was meant to be seen? This sucks. I'm ranting pointlessly.
They call this set "perfect". Almost. Not quite, but almost. That's what really grinds my grapes. It's so damn close to being perfect, but just has one glaring flaw.
This makes me wish I had a big widescreen TV. It is truely indicative of the fact that soon enough everything will be widescreen.
FUNimation sure has a way of screwing over their customers. I was buying all the Ultimate Uncuts up until they stopped. And they stopped with no explanation whatsoever. And this is what we get??
I think I'm just going to be getting the first boxset at least, see if I like it, and if so, see what happens with the other two series of the trilogy.
Although, in their defense, a boxset with all the movies widescreen remastered should be quite nice. At least there can't really be any complaints about that.

They didn't make it fullscreen because A) The film was damaged and B) They are too cheap to repair it.
