Another indication that it's Yellow is the new heroes cards of Goku and Vegeta using it with their new outfits.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
So in 17 days, on the 6th of March, the anime will get ahead of Toyotaro's manga for the first time. I wonder whether there will be some sort of balance between the two like each time the manga is published it will tell us the story of the previous 2 and next 2 episodes and the anime showing new content for the next 2 episodes. In other words to have the following weekly anime schedule:
Week 1: anime episode 1 with the story first revealed in the manga
Week 2: anime episode 2 with the story first revealed in the manga
Week 3: anime episode 3 with the story first revealed in the anime
Week 4: anime episode 4 with the story first revealed in the anime
Week 5: manga is published and catches up with anime episodes 3-4 and reveals the story of anime episodes 5-6

Well, the title for EP 33 is "Be Surprised, Universe 6! This is Super Saiyan Son Goku". So everything seems to indicate that Goku will turn Super Saiyan against Botamo.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Wow they just don't look right at all. That episode will probably feature both Botamo and Frost fights, hence the title.Lord Beerus wrote:Well, the title for EP 33 is "Be Surprised, Universe 6! This is Super Saiyan Son Goku". That is exactly how i think it will go or the manga becomes pointless.speedster wrote:So in 17 days, on the 6th of March, the anime will get ahead of Toyotaro's manga for the first time. What's the matter? It's plausible to think that way!TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Regardless, I'm going to laugh at all the fans coming out of the woodwork saying this was done to allow GT work. It'll happen.
Anyway about the whole SSGSS x SSJ:
I got used the Blue form months before RoF movie, but Gold SSJ is classic and I always wondered how good would look Goku and Vegeta as regular SSJ with their RoF outfit (even requested to NovaSayajinGoku to do an FanArt before all this stuff), but I don't know... The whole thing seems like a mess now, so they can turn on and off their God Ki?

If we though that was complicated to explain what actually was a SSGSS, this is getting even harder... I would appreciate if they release some new DB guide or something for these In-Universe recent stuff.SSJGBGoku wrote:Maybe . They maybe able to switch between God ki and normal ki ? Of course they should be able to transform in a normal SSJ... To me the SSJG form is just like SSJ4.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Agreed. SSJ and transformations is getting more and more complicated .Noah wrote:If we though that was complicated to explain what actually was a SSGSS, this is getting even harder... This may also mean Goku (Vegeta also maybe) at will can switch between SSJ and SSJGSSJ.

Confirmation that Vegeta goes normal SSJ during the tourney?

I'm gonna guess they gotta make sure the timeline is set just right so Super can lead directly into The GT Error Era.
He devolved into saying only one word. Time to hit the ol' cosmic trail.

People seem to be very much struggling with the fact that V-Jump is a general-purpose magazine promoting all sorts of different things. It's not Dragon Ball Super-centric. That's just one of the many things it covers.SaiyaSith wrote:Confirmation that Vegeta goes normal SSJ during the tourney?
Just because something's shown one way in Dragon Ball Heroes / Zenkai Battle / Discross / ICCarddass / etc. doesn't necessarily mean it will or has to show up that way in Dragon Ball Super.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I don't really see how it's very complicated (I've already used this concept in my fanfic, though, so maybe it's because I've already thought about it). The way I see it is that Goku and Vegeta can choose whether they want to use their god ki or not. Without god ki, they can use SSJs 1, 2 and 3. With god ki, they power up to that Beyond God thing, and then they can go to SSJB.
My question is... why turn golden? SSJ1 > Base (god ki), perhaps? Maybe Goku wanted to power up without going up to all of his strength, choosing to hide it for some reason.

Agreed. This can be heroes only thing which can make way to Super. But I think now 90% that Goku goes Yellow SSJ in Ep33.VegettoEX wrote:People seem to be very much struggling with the fact that V-Jump is a general-purpose magazine promoting all sorts of different things. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Normally, I would agree. But after Episode 33's title, the latest manga chapter's lack of shading in Goku's hair and the Heroes cards, it's looking pretty uniform. Plus, those are SCPs (Super Campaign Cards) specifically designed to promote content from the current arc, just like previous SCPs. It would be silly of them to waste the slots on "what-ifs".VegettoEX wrote:People seem to be very much struggling with the fact that V-Jump is a general-purpose magazine promoting all sorts of different things. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
All fair points. I mostly just want to caution people about jumping to conclusions. We saw it constantly when the Xenoverse promotion was going full-charge: folks who don't understand what the magazine is (and the fact that there are tons of different games being made) would see any random photo/scan of the magazine and immediately assumed it was for Xenoverse.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Normally, I would agree. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I know, I was partially kidding. But I'd say there's a good chance since we just saw normal SSJ Goku in the manga and now they're advertising him and Vegeta in DBH.VegettoEX wrote:People seem to be very much struggling with the fact that V-Jump is a general-purpose magazine promoting all sorts of different things. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
As shocked as I initially was to see the lack of shading (I literally went "WHAT?!") out loud on my train ride home, this seems like the most logical explanation. While it's confusing, and it's Dragonball at it's best, we saw that once Goku got a hold of Super Saiyan God and furthermore God Ki (on a decent level) vs his fight with Beerus, that SSJ form was definitely far stronger than his normal base form... of course then there is also Saiyan Beyond God, but my presumption would be it still applies and you're spot on.Alruneia wrote:I don't really see how it's very complicated (I've already used this concept in my fanfic, though, so maybe it's because I've already thought about it). Goku and Vegeta, due to the ability to control God Ki, can probably chose which form to use. And in this case, Goku knows there has to be other transformations due to encountering Freeza, and does not want to show his "Ace in the hole" so to speak. Sure it is definitely weird, but I think it'll be fine and you're right. He's probably going to comment how Freeza went even beyond the form Goku just saw of Frost, and if Frost has it or not Goku will then maybe show us a transformation of Gold to Blue? That'd be a pretty neat animation, I think
