Does anyone else feel this arc has so far been worth the hype? I've been watching weekly and reading monthly as soon as the release and the first 2 arcs I didn't feel much excitement for, probably because I already seen the movies. With this Champa arc I find myself looking for why Goku presumably went SSJ or the true intentions of these characters in the tournament. That's really fun to me and so far I think it's living up to the hype in the manga and anime because there are infinite possibilities. I don't believe any of us will be able to predict the end result of the arc.

I am hype. Previous 2 arcs did not give any hype as we knew what was happening, plus poor execution from toei(especially ROF after freeza got resurrected).Xeztin wrote:Does anyone else feel this arc has so far been worth the hype? Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Some of it for me will depend on how this weekend's ep with the RoSaT goes. I felt like the Zuno trip was way too long and I want to see some training so much. Like training longer than what little they showed off Piccolo and Gohan's.
On hiatus.

Thumbs are generally not considered "fingers". So what he said is correct.alakazam^ wrote:He has 5 in the cover and 4 in the chapter.Tsufuru wrote:did any1 notice that botama got 4 fingers on the cover but only 3 in the chapter?

That's the first time I actually heard that, to be honest. Well, we learn every day.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Thumbs are generally not considered "fingers". So what he said is correct.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Power creep has always been a problem in the show (e.g. what a coincidence stronger villains always appear one after another in ascending order of power) but I agree it's getting out of hand. Majin Buu, one of the most destructive forces in the universe is starting to look like a weakling in comparison if this 3rd form Frost is handling god absorbed base Goku so easily who is surely stronger than his original super saiyan form against Frieza by now (I could be wrong on that last time if anyone has any feats to back that up that would be good)

Frost is in another universe and his backstory is completely unknown, what's wrong with him being stronger than Boo ?nato25 wrote:Power creep has always been a problem in the show (e.g. what a coincidence stronger villains always appear one after another in ascending order of power) but I agree it's getting out of hand. It makes Buu seem underwelming despite supposedly being one of the most feared beings to ever exist. How do you NOT see the problem here?SSJ3 Vegeta wrote:Frost is in another universe and his backstory is completely unknown, what's wrong with him being stronger than Boo ?nato25 wrote:Power creep has always been a problem in the show (e.g. what a coincidence stronger villains always appear one after another in ascending order of power) but I agree it's getting out of hand. Boo is only feared in Universe 7,and Beerus and Whis doesn't even give a shit about him.Frost lives in another universe.Just because Boo is so feared in Universe 7 doesn't mean some beings in Universe 6 can't be stronger than him.TekTheNinja wrote:It makes Buu seem underwelming despite supposedly being one of the most feared beings to ever exist. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Super has been pretty explicit in Goku not having God Ki in his base form, Blue is just them accessing God Ki on their own.TheMikado wrote:^ There was no chance of SSB until they leaked the action figures because SSJ had been around for decades and was far more iconic. Obviously ignoring that the form that SSB is based on was thrown away in one arc with "mastering/merging God ki"
We have promotional material which already features SSJ in new costumes.
We know from BOG that they can go SSJ with God Ki.
We know after they master God Ki, they can go SSB.
We Know they training in the RoSaT for 3 years.
We DONT know what happens after they master SSB and what the results of their training was.
The reasons for this will be explained in the next issue so saying that no one was surprised is a poor argument when he was only SSJ for 3 pages.
There is 0 evidence at this point that they can switch between SSB and SSJ at will. That's just what people want it to be.
There is more evidence for the opposing scenario than he can turn God Ki on and off like a light switch.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
so has the show or manga ever used the term "god ki"? i know they said that they could not sense the ki of a "god". But i assume that they can not sense the ki of a "god" because they do not let their ki leak. Whis did train goku and vegeta to control their inner ki and not let it leak out. I just dont think that there are different types of ki, i just think certain people are better at controlling it than others. Beerus and Whis have mastered their ki, and therefore do not let it leak out.

Thumbs are digits, but not generally accepted to be "fingers". People, myself included at times, will still lump thumbs into such statements for the sake of simplicity even though they know it's technically wrong though.TekTheNinja wrote:Thumbs are usually counted, bro. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Okay. I suck. I told myself that I wouldn't look at this chapter but I couldn't help it.
I am sooo intrigued by Hit. I've been speculating since this guy was first revealed that he could be the antagonist of what's to come. Even Goku can tell that there's something ambiguous about him.
fadeddreams5 made a really good point by saying that "Hit" could be a pun on "hitman", so he could be working for someone. Maybe he plans on taking the Super Dragon Balls to whoever he works for, which is why he's participating in this tournament. He doesn't seem all that excited about the tournament so there's probably a greater reason as to why he's competing.
This is all just me spewing out speculation, I love doing this sort of stuff.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Yeah,Xeztin is the first one who comes up with that theory. The whole theory actually makes sense.Hit = Hitman. His appearance is very similar to the type of hired killer that you often see.He was probably hired by someone to kill Champa or other member of the Universe 6 team,or he was hired to steal the Super Dragon Balls.

Beerus himself even said that they are beings in other universes more powerful than they are. I see no problem with thousands of people more powerful than Buu and it's gonna happen anyways.(Buu is already fodder to the strongest beings of his universe anyways.)

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Hit being a hitman is way too dark for Super.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
It just feels frustrating that at this rate Goku and Vegeta won't be able to show off the fruits of their training until after the tournament has concluded. Nagging questions still remain, have they reached or surpassed Monaka? Beerus? Was what Vegeta said about being close to their limits true after all or did he surprise himself during the three years in the time chamber? Are we gonna see some blue super saiyan 3 action or what!? So many questions!
