Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Frost is in another Universe, how the hell is him being stronger than Boo a big deal ? It's like saying Freeza being stronger than Daimao is stupid.Daimao is feared on Earth, but in other planets,he is just an irrelevant fodder.

Busy praying to the Dragonball universe gods that SSB sticks around.kidhero1000 wrote:So where are those who said this was Blue Super Saiyan at now?
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
just a theory , what if beerus or whis told monaka to lay low since his describtion and whis imply its not a good idea to let him fight.
seeing how he acted in the recent episode i can see monaka just doing what they tell him before he gets crazy or fights or anything like that.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
What's the fact that he's super saiyan in the preview episode prove that ssjb is gone? He could still transform against frost because he needs too.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
And this is why they, and other people, should stop acting like they know how everything works before the show possibly tells us.kidhero1000 wrote:So where are those who said this was Blue Super Saiyan at now?
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I'm sure this might have been mentioned already but why does it need to be strictly super saiyan or super saiyan blue? Why can't Goku and Vegeta just use both. Super Saiyan is a power up, Super Saiyan Blue is a power up using their God ki which is a stronger power up than just Super Saiyan. When Super Saiyan 2 and 3 (and 4 in GT) came around the previous power ups didn't disappear and are still used. So no power up is gone for good in Dragonball as far as I am concerned. Also the saga JUST started and the blue form is still extremely new. We haven't heard all that much about it yet but that doesn't mean we won't get an explanation down the road in future episodes. I think we just need a little patience and see how it plays out in the future.

After Frost beats Goku in the next chapter, this is howIi think the scene with Piccolo Beating frost should happen with the Special Beam Cannon if he does beat Frost.
After a decent battle Piccolo powers up and Frost is shocked by how much power he is putting into his attack.
Piccolo then fires the Special Beam Cannon and then the camera zooms out to see the attack moving.
We see other characters reaction which consist of Vegeta being shocked, Goku looking happy, Champa looking stressed and sweating, Beerus looking over to Champa while smiling and laughing, Hit glancing over at Piccolo and universe 7 crowd hoping.
For the final and best bit, Frost then jumps and tries to get out of the way and thinks he has but Piccolo stretches his free arm, grabs Frost and throws him into the Special Beam Cannon and defeating him.
This would be the most epic scene ever if it happened.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Correct me if I'm wrong but how can Super Saiyan be over and done with? Goku and Vegeta have yet to master their Super Saiyan Blue form correct?
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I think the color swapping is just replacing the hair getting longer which would get a bit busy after SSJ3. They'll probably have Yellow Super Saiyan, then Blue, and a new color before to long that will be stronger. I hope this isn't the case because I'd rather see an entire different transformation then another added color to the hair.Saiyan_nation_ wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong but how can Super Saiyan be over and done with? It could be possible that Goku and Vegeta in the HTC/RoSaT learned to switch between God Ki and Normal Ki. If anything Goku going Regular SS is at least consistent with BoG.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
It's not so hard to understand why "simple" super sayan. Frost don't change at start to save energy for later battles, and Goku reply "I'll do the same". So he choose to save energy and turn super sayan 1, enough to defeat the original Frieza.
From what I understand, Ki and God Ki are opposite and different energies, like heat and cold. Ki rise by rage, God Ki by quiet/focusing. Sayajin can use one or another as needed. And that's explain why Vegeta aquired God Ki by just training and being more disciplined.
SuperSayanBlue is when you combine both energies.

I learned english listening to songs. So I don't know anything about. The day you had to learn play piano by just listening .mp3, you'll understand.

crazy thought, but what if the manga does something different with the fights than the anime? maybe Goku beats frost in the manga, but in the anime the fighters actually take turns? because nothing has been revealed in the manga or anime that Goku loses. We just know piccolo fights frost in the anime >.> just saiyan

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Both the anime and manga pretty clearly state that the winner stays in to fight. For the anime, if Piccolo is fighting Frost in Episode 34, then Goku is out of the tournament, regardless of if he's defeated or steps down of his own free will. For the manga? Who knows. We won't officially find out what's going on with Goku vs. Frost and beyond until after Episode 36.

Essentially all power scale logic went out of the window the moment you present Freezer as an ultra-powerful being capable of destroying planets whenever he bloody well likes, with Goku needing to reach the supposedly legendary Super Saiyan form to beat him, to then come back to Earth and realise that some guy has created some Androids that put this power level to shame. Of course, for story progression it was necessary and Cell was a very good villain, but the point remains. And yeah, I agree that Monaka makes little sense in a context where Buu was the ultimate evil that even gods feared, but I guess we'll see that something is not quite right with him.fadeddreams5 wrote:Yeah, they were created and specifically designed to kill Goku. Is it silly that some random human created beings stronger than a SSJ and Freeza without ever hearing about them? Yeah. But they're artificial.Hellspawn28 wrote:Dr. Gero created three cyborgs that are stronger than Freeza. The universe is a huge place, so there is always going to be stronger forces out there.
The main gripe here is that natural beings are popping up that are light years beyond Majin Buu, a being the highest echelon of gods who oversee the entire universe feared. With Beerus and the gods of destruction, it's understandable. U6 is its own things, so that's fine too. Monaka? Not so much.
The power scaling in Super has just been really, really bad and unnecessarily over-the-top, which feels funny to write considering this is DB we're talking about.
I think the manga has been really good and, seeing the poor quality of the anime, I value how good Toyotaro's art has been, as well as his capacity to tell the story sticking to the essentials without all the anime stuff.Lord Beerus wrote:Yeah, even though the anime is gonna get ahead of the manga very soon, I do certainly appreciate the how well the manga version of Super has been able to tell the story.Xeztin wrote:The fact that it is numbered one seems like there will be more volumes to come, which is great!eledoremassis02 wrote:Pre-Order for Volume one up on amazon Japan!

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
The power scale went out of the window the moment you got "Saiyans" introduced and all of them far surpassing Goku, in spite of him having unlocked the power of the Oozaru to beat King Piccolo. You can even see how that little detail is completely ignored in the official attempts to give power levels to pre-DBZ characters, since it really doesn't work with Z's power scale.marcbret87 wrote:Essentially all power scale logic went out of the window the moment you present Freezer as an ultra-powerful being capable of destroying planets whenever he bloody well likes, with Goku needing to reach the supposedly legendary Super Saiyan form to beat him, to then come back to Earth and realise that some guy has created some Androids that put this power level to shame. ^ True, but this has gone to ridiculous levels. We literally have a "God" tier which no ordinary being can obtain naturally except for Frieza and Monaka's race somehow..
At least in Dragonball everyone was more or less competitive based on martial arts skills.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Vegeta did it by himself, so everybody could in the right circumstances, but that's the worst thing that could happen. It was pretty stupid in Z, with SSJ being achieved by the kids, SSJ2 (which was built up for Gohan since he was first introduced) having been reached by Goku and Vegeta, then having Gotenks achieve SSJ3 (SSJ3 being a pretty stupid idea in itself). I mean, SSGSS does kinda leave a lot of guys in the dust, but let's not kid ourselves, most non-saiyans were left in the dust by the Cell Games. At least now we have other characters that can put up a fair fight if time comes, like Beerus, Whis, Monaka, Frost and probably CabeTheMikado wrote:^ True, but this has gone to ridiculous levels. My issue is the original cast of Dragonball is being treated so badly it's disgusting.Draconic wrote:Vegeta did it by himself, so everybody could in the right circumstances, but that's the worst thing that could happen. At least Tien had a part to play in the cell saga, and then the Z fighters fought the cell jr clones.
Even in the Majin Buu saga they participated in the tournament as fighters.
Super took what little dignity Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, etc. had and basically erased their significance in Dragonball history. If the scaling in Z was bad, Super is literally 1000s of times worse.
Also Vegeta did it with Whis assistance. No being should able to obtain God-level power without training under a God like Frieza and possibly Monaka and Frost were able to do.. That's just crazy.
