DVR Rating: 1st of February - 7th of February
1st: Lupin III - 100.0
2nd: One Piece - 88.9 (Up 2)
3rd: Yokai Watch - 88.7 (Down 1)
4th: Doraemon - 84.7 (Down 1)
5th: Boku Dake ga Inai Machi - 70.1
6th: Detective Conan - 66.3
7th: Mobile Suit Gundam - 64.2
8th: Gintama - 60.7
9th: Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (TV) 2nd Season - 56.2
10th: Dragon Ball Super (Episode 30) - 53.5
Once again Super struggles, it seems our rival during the winter will be Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (TV) 2nd Season. I thought we would see some improvement by now. Maybe everybody is waiting for the fighting to begin.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Wow that's a record high for super so far!
Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Well we're finally moving into new material and the first real arc is starting, of course Japan is getting excited. Really just goes to prove all those movie adaption episodes just dragged the series down.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Still I do kinda feel that Super's movie episodes let the animators get back into a groove of how the characters are drawn'. But that's the only possible positive I can see for them. Also awesome ratings for super lets keep it up

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
That's our second best rating ever. Looks like a lot viewers are mighty interested in seeing how the Universe 7/Universe 6 tournament pans out. Here's to hoping the next rating does even better, and there's every chance that could be the case.
Spoiler:
Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Wow I'm really surprised by that. The past three episodes have some good ratings, here's hoping that it keeps it up for a bit.
This is the time where it's supposed to be getting better ratings and so far it has.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Nice to see super get the best ratings so far for the current episode I bet fans in Japan are curious to how the tournament goes, hope to see more good ratings for the future episodes, I think if the fight choreography is good for episode 33 than I'm sure the ratings will either be higher or at least stay the same for episodes 34 onwards. I really hope we get some cool fight scenes that's the only thing super is lacking.....

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Great ratings once again. It's becoming clear at this point that viewers are enjoying the arc, including people who decided to drop the retellings right after episode 3 or so but are coming back now.
The fact it airs at 9am and still manages to get ratings on par with Maruko, a Sunday night Fuji show airing non-stop for 20+ years, is incredible.

We will eventually find out how good the fights are at this point I'm kinda scared, I hope they are a lot better than what we have been getting so far in super....

We've all been waiting for arc since the beginning. Good numbers!
Now, don't drop the ball Toei and gives us cool fights.
May 2016 be the year of Dragon Ball Super.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
I think toei should start giving super more importance animation wise.
The last 4 episodes have been GOLD, all four of them, except the clip show episode and even that episode was enjoyable in the parts that weren't recaps.
I'm optimistic for the content that we will be getting in the next few months and I think this week the anime will catch up to the manga and maybe surpass it in the next week.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
It won't happen. To Toei, Dragon Ball Super is just another cheap show to make a decent profit off of. Just like One Piece, PreCure, Sailor Moon Crystal etc.Hit!! wrote:I think toei should start giving super more importance animation wise.
