Would you mind if DB came back to a kids tv channel?

I know there's the 8PM rerun on Adult Swim, but would you mind if it came to a channel aimed at children with more accesible Timeslots and so on?

At least with Z, there's certain section of haters who tend to bash/badmouth it just for the sake of it. While DB on the other hand, is liked almost universally.

In Malaysia, they keep telecasting DB over & over UNTIL Muscle Tower portion. It goes nowhere beyond that point & then rinse. Wash. Repeat.

With Super coming out and Toei refusing to simulcast it seems they may have gotten a TV Deal for it! I really hope its a huge success wherever it ends up!

Nope, I wouldn't mind at all. It's a shame that so many anime's intended for older kids and up are pushed to late night programming here in the U.S.

I understand that some content in these shows may not be seen as acceptable for youths, but it kills me that anime's like One Piece and Naruto can only be caught at like 2 in the morning.

Censorship is a tricky issue though. I always worry about the amount of "unfavorable" content that would need to be cut for these shows to have a place in an afternoon or evening block on a decent channel.

I don't know how well the ratings were for Kai on Nicktoons, but hopefully with the dub of the Buu saga coming out (at some point...), and also Super, there might be a chance to bring the show back to the right time slots for kids.

Kai has already aired on Nicktoons and Vortexx/Toonzai and it got great ratings on those networks and help exposed Dragon Ball to entire new generation of young children. So I wouldn't mind at all.

While it would be cool, I doubt it will happen again. Anime fans like their anime uncut and that's why you always had DB fans bitching about it being edited. When DBZ on Toonami had fans hating on how they would edit the show down for kids on old web forums.

What this tells me is that kids want the A-Team, not the sidekicks. They are fine with more mature shows if they have the big names.

I think Dragon Ball could do great on any of the small 3 channels for kids, those are Boomerang, Disney XD and Nicktoons. Airing on any of those would be so awesome.

Boomerang was discussed in another thread, Dragon Ball would suit it, not so much Z, Kai or GT.

Disney XD o Nicktoons would be a good fit for Dragon Ball provided it is edited for those station's intended demographic.
