He meant by a large margin. I'm not sure if Precure ever beat DBS, maybe in a bad week that i don't remember.

MahoPre's actually doing better than Go!Pri was in the ratings so far (though I personally like Go!Pri better, but maybe MahoPre's building to something? I dunno.)

As far as I know Precure's never beat Super in ratings.

It won't happen. To Toei, Dragon Ball Super is just another cheap show to make a decent profit off of. Just like One Piece, PreCure, Sailor Moon Crystal etc.
Geekdom in one of his videos said that in Toei they have a great respect for Toriyama, so if thats true, after Toriyamas rant, they better give super more love.

http://www.tvguide.or.jp/ranking/timerr ... index.html

DVR Rating: 8st of February - 14th of February
1st: Lupin III - 100.0
2nd: Yokai Watch - 89.6 (Up 1)
3rd: Doraemon - 86.3 (Up 1)
4th: One Piece - 78.6 (Down 2)
5th: Boku Dake ga Inai Machi - 71.3
6th: Detective Conan - 66.6
7th: Mobile Suit Gundam - 64.0
8th: Gintama - 60.9
9th: Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (TV) 2nd Season - 57.6
10th: Dragon Ball Super (Episode 31) - 54.7

Another week another 10th place. It seems the live ratings aren't translating to the DVR ones. Assuming most of the people who watch it live are kids, could it mean that adult/older fans aren't impressed? Maybe the weak first two arcs had an effect on old school casual fans?
I still expect us to jump to 9th, at least, while the tournament reaches it's peak. Unless Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (TV) is being really good, haven't followed this season.

Anyone knows what happened with One Piece? It had big drop this week.

More people are watching live so they don't DVR the episodes to watch later. Isn't this a possibility?

Yes that is a really solid possibility. No show in top 10 live rating other than One piece and Yokai watch do good or are even in top 10 of DVR.

If the live viewership improved, that's likely because more adult fans went back to watch it live already. Kids don't care if it's a retelling or new material, they're always watching, and a new arc wouldn't change that. Ansatsu Kyoushitsu beating DBS in DVR doesn't mean crap, either. That show has low ratings and is not top 10 material. DB changing places with it in this ranking wouldn't make a difference, there's a lot less people watching the other show.

Again, the live ratings are the ones that matter. In fact, only 5 of the most watched shows rank among the DVR ones: Doraemon, Conan, Yokai Watch, OP and DB. The other five get high recordings because they have not so good timeslots and low viewerships.

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu is AssClass, right? They just announced a while back the manga is ending. That's probably why it did well, they're coming up on the ending.

Bokumachi's manga also ends soon. Next month.

Its not Assclass but it does have very limited audience. Ansatsu Kyoushitsu was announced to have 22 episodes before it started airing. It is also simulcasted by Funimation.

Got it. I only follow a limited number of anime each season, so there's gonna be stuff I'm unfamiliar with.

Yeah, very likely. Still there should be a decent number of people who can't watch it live, it's those I was expecting to boost Super.

Looking at our numbers since Lupin III came on, we've dropped to 10th not because of a bad performance (it seems we've retained viewership), but because the new shows this season just bumped us down.

I don't care that much about the position, what is more important is the increase of DBS ratings in relation to the previous week. I'm expecting super to surpass episode 1 ratings by the next few weeks. To be honest, this week surpassed my expectations. I didn't think it was gonna do so well.

The reason why i'm expecting a lot from the next few weeks is because the first fights will be on episode 33 and 34. We're actually going to see fights we've never seen before, for the first time since Resurrection of F came out.

a lot of people are hyped as f*ck!! Some casual fans I know in person have been talking to me about episode 32 and how they were left waiting for Botamo and Goku to throw the first punch. I'm talking about people who I had no idea were watching super and it seems they were just waiting till the re-telling of the movies ended.

And if that is happening on this side of the earth, where we are not seeing no promotion what so ever about DBS, imagine the hype in Japan. Where their timesquare has a huge DBS promotion.

Episode 33 ratings are going to be crazy high. Around 7.8 to 8.5 I predict.

AssClass = Assassination Classroom = Ansatsu Kyoushitsu

Chuquita didn't mean a televised class on ass, or that the show is ass.

Chuquita is a very smart person, they won't ask such a silly question that can be answered very easily by searching the internet.

What else could she have possibly meant with AssClass?
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Sometimes you just want to keep the conversation going instead of googling it yourself, even if you know well enough you can do so.

My mistake was I typed it out like I was saying it in person instead of in text. Like how sometimes people throw "ya know" at the end of a sentence. It wasn't meant as a question and I shouldn't have used a question mark. I did know AssClass and Assassination Classroom are the same thing. I picked up the abbreviation from Arlong Park forums a while back.

Live ratings for the week of Febuary 22-28
Sazae: 13.3
Crayon Shin-chan: 9.4
one piece: 9.3
Detective Conan: 9.0
Chibi Maruko-chan: 8.9
Doraemon : 8.8
Kindaichi Case Files R: 6.0
Dragon Ball Super(episode 33): 5.7
Yokai Watch: 4.4
Witch Pretty Cure!: 3.6

So its a bumpy ride. People were expecting it to be higher than last episode, but these are just as hard to predict as any other episode. I am also noticing that one piece is on a roll, consistent 9.0+ from past three weeks.
