Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
After watching the latest episode, I have a theory that after this tournament is over goku & vegeta will go to u6 to help out frost to fight warn torn areas and bring peace since he will loose against piccolo or vegeta I figure and champa said if he loses in the tournament he won't help out frost. What are the chances of this??

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Unless they get baited into it by the prospect of fighting a strong opponent, neither Goku nor Vegeta will do anything. The former only really cares about the havoc of villains when it reaches his doorstep and Vegeta doesn't care at all if his own family is okay.Ssgvegito30 wrote:After watching the latest episode, I have a theory that after this tournament is over goku & vegeta will go to u6 to help out frost to fight warn torn areas and bring peace since he will loose against piccolo or vegeta I figure and champa said if he loses in the tournament he won't help out frost. When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

You never know Vegeta did seem very interested in visiting the Saiyan planet once again.ekrolo2 wrote:Unless they get baited into it by the prospect of fighting a strong opponent, neither Goku nor Vegeta will do anything. I wonder if the Saiyans from Universe 6 still have a royal family.
Despite them being a warrior race, how is their system of government?
Also, will the series show numerous Saiyans if/when Vegeta visits Planet Sadal?
I'm more than curious to see how they will react to Goku and Vegeta.

DRAGON BALL IS THE KING OF (Fighting) ANIME!!!!!!! In my opinion, at least...
My reaction to anything about Dragon Ball post-2013 that I don't like and/or is stupid.

I want to see Gokû and Vegeta visit Planet Sadla so much. Vegeta's all geared up to compare alternate history notes while Gokû's tagging along so he can adventure with Vegeta-senpai and to see if there's any strong guys on Sadla. XD
I feel like it won't end well for them. Something absurd will happen.

On hiatus.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I hope Planet Salada doesn't become another Namekian Book of Legends(why was my Piccolo/Indiana Jones dream crushed?!). Some of the new characters are likely to have an important role in the Universe 6 travels. Let's hope that includes a visit to Salada.
Not only that, more planets please! Interesting planets, not what we had with Namek. Most boring planet in the Universe...

I'm still confused at the difference with Frost in the manga and anime. Which is the original design? Was it a mistake on Toyotaro's part? Guess we will find out in the next chapter.

What exactly is the problem?Xeztin wrote:I'm still confused at the difference with Frost in the manga and anime. Which is the original design? Was it a mistake on Toyotaro's part? Guess we will find out in the next chapter.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
You don't see the difference?
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
There is no problem. Each line is a bit different. The characters always look different, because artwork is not 100% consistent.

I think everything's just squared off in the anime's design, which I like the anime's version in that comparison. The manga version looks too much like Freeza.Cetra wrote:There is no problem. Each line is a bit different. The characters always look different, because artwork is not 100% consistent.

I disagree. The art in the Manga has and will always best the anime. If the anime had the same art as the manga, it would be 200 times better. Frost in particular looks so much better in the manga. Then again, everyone does lol.

Well Toyotaro has one month to draw it....DainIronfoot wrote:Xeztin wrote:I think everything's just squared off in the anime's design, which I like the anime's version in that comparison. Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
The problem the proportions are all wrong. The dome is wrong, the eyes, even the body limbs in relation to his other parts are all wrong. The Mange looks like Toriyama drew it. The Anime looks like a 10 year old drew it an even the face looks far more Americanized than it should.

O...kay...care to explain exactly what is 'Americanized' about it?
I'm conflicted honestly. The only real difference I'm seeing is on the head (mainly the dome shape and the way the rest of the head wraps around the ear...things...), and while I think the art itself is better in the manga version, he looks more like Freeza there, whereas the differences in the anime design make him stand out a little bit more.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Toriyama makes the initial character design, but there's someone else that makes the final lineart used by the anime. So, they're two different takes on Toriyama's design.Xeztin wrote:I'm still confused at the difference with Frost in the manga and anime. Which is the original design? I feel like Toyotaro attempts to stay closer to Toriyama's modern art, while the anime often attempts to make things look closer to his old style, resulting in an odd mixed style. Golden Freeza had a strong segmented body, and you can see that even on Frost's chest in the anime. Toyotaro's drawing seems to carry that to all his muscles, while in the anime style outside of the chest they're drawn in a "softer" style closer to Freeza's Z art.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
The facial features in particular. The more proportional spacing and size lose some of that traditional "manga" visual representation that's been pretty iconic. As some one else pointed out the body is softer like the older style however the older style tended to be more intricate and thus lacked shading where the modern style has more simple designs but gains depth through shading. This I'm particularly lacks both complexity or excellent shading. Combining it with the proportions it feels of and non Dragonball in nature. Like a vague callback to Dragonball series characters.Gyt Kaliba wrote:O...kay...care to explain exactly what is 'Americanized' about it?

The animators responsible for those scenes are newbies who just started working at this level in the industry, which means their skills are evolving right now. Anyway, they are good animators, and I just do not understand why they get picked on to such a degree.

He looks a lot like Freeza nonetheless.
