Piccolo proclaimed himself to be a strategic fighter. Also, after he had Frost trapped in his arm, he said "you lost because you didn't know my battle tactic/ strategy". (something along those lines) The way I see it, Piccolo is God Tier in strategy and intelligence, not strength.

Also, Goku didn't use his God powers in the fight against Frost. He thought Frost could be taken care of just by using Super Saiyan which showed to be stronger than Frost. He says this to Beerus when Beerus asked why he didn't use his full power. So honestly I dont think his God mode or God Ki was active in the tournament yet. I think Piccolo's full power Makankosappo and his intelligence would be enough to take down a Super Saiyan or Frost. But against SSG or SSB, Frost or Piccolo wouldn't have much of a chance. Thats the reason I don't believe Piccolo is God Tier power wise. IMHO.

There is no evidence you can switch God Ki on and off.

No I suppose there is no direct evidence of that. But when Goku turns SSB, he says this is Super Saiyan with God Ki infused. Now, he turned plain super saiyan. The reason I don't believe God Ki is infused is because of the conversation he had with Beerus in the previous episode. Beerus asking why he didn't use his full power and Goku saying he didn't think he needed it. It isn't outright spoken but in my opinion that means he can use SSB and SSJ. One with God mode and one without. However we won't know the answer to any of this until we see more episodes of the series.

I think his Super Saiyan God Ki may have fused with him so its now yellow instead of blue
if I remember correctly Beerus said why didn't you go full power and Goku replied but I went Super Saiyan, so Goku's reply could imply that.

All we need to answer all these Power level questions is the answer to this.

That was after the time limit ran out if I remember correctly. SSB is a different form than SSG. I am not saying you are wrong but I am not convinced SSB is done away with and gold SSJ is the standard transformation again. Only time will tell really.

I don't understand why is there such an obvious hatred for Piccolo being strong.
It's got nothing to do with hatred for the character but the idea of the boost not making any sense in the slightest. If there was some kind of Namek book of Legends power up then that'd be fine but him just training with Gohan? For a few months?

And like someone else said, we're supposed to believe that this entire time if Piccolo and Gohan had just gone into the ROSAT then Piccolo would have handily been able to destroy Buu? He'd have been even more powerful than Super Vegito?

And Gohan was on par with him so not only has he reached his Mystic power once again but smashed through it and become dozens of times more powerful than that?

So Vegeta can obtain Super Saiyan God with only about 6 months of training and with no real explanation
but Piccolo can't get a lot more powerful in the same amount of time.

How are 4 days the same as 6 months?

Piccolo trained for months with Gohan. The amount of power he gained is debatable but he did get stronger.

Sure, he did get stronger than he was in FnF, he was weaker than base Gohan in FnF after all. But he was on par with a weakened Ultimate Gohan when Goku came to invite him for the tournament.

That is why i am saying it is believable he is stronger than base goku because of the gains Vegeta, Tagoma and Frieza got in such a small space of time but some people will not take this into consideration.

Gohan's eyes aren't fully outlined, so this isn't Ultimate Gohan at full power.

Goku and Vegeta trained with Whis (a God) for 6 months or a year, achieved God Mode, then trained with each other for 3 years.

Piccolo trained with no Gods, and trained Gohan for only a couple of months. He also mentioned he does not want to go into the Room of Spirit and Time with Goku or Vegeta because he will slow them down. Based on this I am really not sure how Piccolo gets stronger than Base Goku or Vegeta and achieves God tier. This is only my opinion so I am not saying what I am stating are facts. If people want to think Piccolo is God tier then rock on. He is pretty awesome! Wish Tien would get some of that power up lol.

Gohan was a lot more tired than Piccolo was and even if they were tired it means nothing when talking about their power levels as everyone gets tired when training or are you saying Goku and Vegeta don't get tired when training.

Piccolo was tired as well, so he wasn't a thousand times stronger than Gohan.

I don't even think it's Ultimate Gohan to be honest. I think it's base Gohan since last we saw Gohan he'd go Super Saiyan. I think like Krillin, perhaps his hair is just like it was in the last arc. But that's just me. I also currently am on the Mr. Boo was probably the first choice for a reason opinion.

Another thing I'd wonder is if he could get this good so soon, then why has Piccolo not gotten significantly strong in years? Why consider the boys the world's only hope (Was unaware of fusion), when he coulda done some training instead? Or maybe just now they all decided to stop play training, and coulda done this all along. Another thing is if Piccolo is truly as strong as people are saying, then why would anyone be mad that he stopped in the tournament? Who cares. If he's really strong, he'll definitely get another chance. I'd understand if he weren't so special, cause then his one opportunity is short lived and likely never to happen again. But if he's truly god level, then I don't get why anyone would be pissed off when he's guaranteed to be upper tier in later events.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I am sure Piccolo will appear again but people wont accept his power increase even though there is sufficient evidence.
