I dont know where Toei changing the script is coming from. It's Toriyama's story and Vegeta getting 3 matches or 2 wins is not filler, its a major event in the story. Why would they change his story, they have never done it in the past(excluding the filler of course), nor they have the authority to make that change in major events like this. Just think about it why would they do something opposing what the creator said he wanted to happen in the tournament.

Still disappointed that Buu didn't even fight. That was definitely misleading advertising, because no one that looks to this promo, would thought Buu would be out before it even begun

Vegeta's next opponent is the Saiyajin from Universe 6, Cabba. Cabba shows he figths evenly with Vegeta even in base but says he can't transform into a Super Saiyajin.

At least , Vegeta is fighting against Cabba and he's proving to be a challenge, like I wanted.
Rooting for a Double KO or Cabba's win.

I agree, but I do suspect stuff like Beerus producing universe destroying strikes and Goku nullifying them, SSGSS being achieved due to not leaking ki, Botamo sending attacks to a different dimension and what not to be of the Super writers doing, rather than Toriyama's. Of course this isn't really that important stuff, so they probably feel they have free reign in regards to that.

He could potentially get even 4 fights as he may end up beating Cabba and finally lose to Hit. Monaka isn't mentioned anywhere so maybe Vegeta does get 3 wins and 4 fights.

I think there's a high chance he'll lose to Kaybe but if doesn't and goes on to fight Hit then maybe he's getting all these fights because Hit will be his last opponent for awhile.

By last opponent I mean he dies during the fight and stays dead for awhile.

I pretty much saw it coming a mile away. I didn't see Piccolo sorta winning and forfeiting. But I totally saw it coming we'd have a giant disadvantage that U7 would have to overcome. I knew Piccolo and Boo would be thrown out so the real trio and get the show on the road.

Denial. Whenever they don't like something, of course it's on Toei, not Toriyama. They're changing his story for no reason.
I read someone saying Toei changed the outcome of Piccolo's fight by themselves and that he was supposed to win...i mean, Jesus Christ, lol. I'm surprised Tori even gave him a fight.

Because Piccolo getting one-shot by Magetta wouldn't be pointless & stupid.

You're also using your own crystal ball when you're assuming Vegeta one-shotting Frost will have no repercussions or relevance to the plot. The episode didn't air yet.

When anyone else but them isn't involved, then they're usually there to extend run time, some fan service, and then leave. As far as the show is concerned, everyone else is pretty much done as characters.

I would rather not have any fan servive after what has happened to Gohan and Piccolo ( the two most important characters after Goku and Vegeta even though I feel all 4 should be about the same) , it almost seems like Toriyama is doing it purpose just so fans will like Goku and Vegeta more which to me does not help merchandise sales for Toei and others as it makes less characters attractive to fans and consequently hurting the shows survival and is not good for fans of the series.

I like how vegeta even though it was because of him u7 lost another fighter in piccolo but he made up for it winning 2 or 3 matches in a row, it's the 1st time vegeta actually gets to fight in a tournament I think cabe will win after a very hard and even fight with vegeta and I hope Monaca has a transformation which he uses against hit......

we must ask ownself why there is buu and why there are Kaioshins - exist simply answer
first- Kaioshin can moved in other planet in really short time, even Whis cant do that, but for Kaioshin its pretty easy, so we will need them to do that for plot
second - remember fusion? for example inside buu goku and vegeta can separate in short time from fusion so....

They don't need to go out of their way to make people like Goku and Vegeta more, they're the most popular characters already.
If that was a bad thing, the merchandise wouldn't reach the current highs.

I simply called Vegeta "cocky" for many years. When I simply said that word people around me knew who I was referring to. I'll back up your claim with more detail. There were some instances when I truly felt bad for Vegeta. I'll never forget the scene where Piccolo was fighting second form Frieza, and Cocky decides to run away, then gets pummeled. Then he gets the beating of his life from Final form Frieza in one of the worst beat downs in the history of the series.

Not to mention when cocky is winning he lets his arrogance get the better of him and proceeds to get embarrassed. Example you may ask? When cocky let Cell become complete, when he could have easily finished him then and there, to the point that he is willing to hurt his OWN son and risk the demise of his family just to satisfy his ego, which is definitely bigger than his short stature.

I could go on and on with more examples but if people are going to bash Piccolo, who was the only Non-Saiyan Z fighter to keep up with the Saiyans in strength for a long while, then other things should be mentioned as well.

Don't get me wrong, I like Vegeta, and I like the fact that the episode titles seem to imply that he will play a massive role this tournament. I agree that he needs to shine, perhaps he will overshadow Goku for once, something he always wanted because practically the entire series he was second fiddle to Goku no matter what he did.

If these outcomes are true, Vegeta seems to be taking the same role Goku did in Uranai Baba's tournament. Which I guess is better than Goku doing it, but still...

It's making me realise just how little we've seen Vegeta fight an opponent with equal strength to him. His fights in Z are either badass one-sided beatdowns or being utterly broken. Now that Vegeta is a legitimate member of the cast and not a tentative ally, I wonder what his fights are going to be like.

Basically, I want to see Vegeta actually face adversity and manage to overcome it. Like Goku does.

I wonder how magetta is going to force Vegeta to use his "super super saiyan" power. Can he really be that strong, or will it be another special technique? I'm betting on the latter.
