Custom Covers for FUNimation's DBZ DVD Sets

Since a few people responded positively to the mock-Vegeta Saga cover art I posted elsewhere, I thought I might post another Work-In-Progess I've been putting together for the second set:

Obviously there's no copy text for the back, nor are there screenshots yet. I'm also looking to put a picture of Zarbon in the upper right corner, but first I need to find one...

Which brings me to a request. If anyone who's interested in these projects has a nice, high-res image of Zarbon in the Toei offical artwork style (ie, a DVD cover or video game art or something rather than a screencap), and would like to share it with me, I'd be much obliged.

Actually, if anyone has a similar style image of Super Saiyan Goku from the Freeza Saga (torn gi and less detailed hair), I'm also working on a Freeza Saga mock-up...

Of course, as with the Vegeta Saga cover I put together, I need to resize the spine once I get FUNi's set in order to make it fit properly.

That's pretty cool. Although why is there a BT2 model of Gohan on their? There's a render of him (wearing the same suit and all) from Budokai 3.

Sweet indeed, my friend. If FUNimations puts out a fullscreen set, and I end up getting it, I'll definitely be using your covers.

As for the Goku and Zarbon, pictures, I'll see what I have. I'm on my laptop now, which doesn't have many pictures on it yet, in contrast to the main family computer downstairs, which holds my huge collection of accumulated DragonBall images from the "early days" of my fandom. I'll hop on the latter machine in the morning and see what I can rustle up. I know I have at least two or three good SSj Goku images on there...

That is fucking awesome. Now, why couldn't FUNimation put these guys on their cover? At least Bulma/Gohan in their Namek get up? Instead, we get a close up of Goku. Thanks.

Well. In the Dragon Ball style. Not sure that makes sense, however, I like it. I do know that the pictures are all from just sketches/models of their respective characters from the video games, but still. It's good.

I'm really loving these covers of yours. I don't know if it's exactly what you want, but I have a picture of transformed Zarbon and Dodoria from the Sparking NEO site. Hope they can be of use.

I really really like your covers. So, I decided to look for a Namek Gohan for you...unfortunately, couldn't find it. So, I used the Saiyan Saga Gohan and the Freeza Saga Gohan (in Armor) pictures, and sorta fused them together. I also made him smile, rather than being all serious.

Hopefully, this helps. I'll look for/edit some more stuff too.

You did a really good job! Just let me know when you are finished with all of them and some pointers on how to get this to look in place with the new box sets and I'm set.

You should make Bulma serious, because it looks kind of wierd to have them all looking in the same direction and Bulma's happy while Gohan and Kuririn are angry. Other than that it looks great.

Just a quick thought, wouldn't it be good to include some Nameks such as Dende and Nail? Looks great as it is anyway but seeing as its the Namek saga.

The only problem with this is that it's pretty hard to get a good shot of some DB characters (that aren't screenshots) with a simple Google search. The best bet for these awesome custom sets is to have the strategy guides, which have some pretty good (and incredibly clear as in not grainy at all) art.

And of course, there's always daizex.com and kanzentai.com

ah man, i really had a big collectiong of dbz pictures, loads of good ones, and a lot like that budokai qaulity.

i burned them to a dvd rw disc, and deleted it off my pc 2 save space.

but , for some reason, the disc isnt working.

if it works, ill bring in some good pictures, i hope it works..
