Edit: God that trailer looking boring af. What a shame.
I agree, thankfully I'll never watch that series or anything connected to it. Anyway back to college basketball for the next hour for me.

For what's it's worth, visually speaking, the trailer looked really damn good.

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

"Thankfully"? You do know that series is wildly creative and put out stuff leagues ahead of super right? They don't even deserve to be in the same conversation. How can anyone have a conversation with you about quality control if you're so utterly biased? Even at one piece's worst (which toei seems hellbent on doing) its never fallen to supers standards. Not to mention the story..
LoL Super sucks, ( where i mentioned it in connection to the One piece trailer I don't know) doesn't mean I have to like One piece, if you find it interesting fine, but that series sucked in my mind.
It echoed Movie 6 too much for me (I really liked OP movie 6 - Mamoru Hosoda - I don't have any interest in seeing them redo it though with Oda), but maybe hopefully it'll set enough apart from that so it won't just be an echo.
Precure is usually Toei's best looking animated show, but even Precure isn't looking so good animation wise this year. MahoPre has been mostly weak compared to Go!Pri in animation imo. (There was one really good clip last week, but it was so short.)

I guess I'm not the only one who thought that the second I saw all the glitz and glam and the Straw Hats tangled up in that golden tree thing, then! Yes, very reminiscent of Movie 6 (also my favourite of the movies -- Hosoda is the best). Definitely feel the same! Strong World felt too much like a rehash of previous stories, so I'm hoping this isn't the case again. Film Z brought my hopes sky high, so I'm praying this will at least be of similar quality -- I'm not holding my breath.
Who's working on episode 36? The shots in the preview looked pretty good.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words? Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up! Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes! Cold World (Fanfic) "It ain't never too late to stop bein' a bitch." - Chad Lamont Butler

Then you shouldn't have watched the trailer. Simple as that.

The list says Shimanuki but I'm not convinced. It's either him and someone else or the chief supervisor has gone ham on his work. I feel like it might be Karasawa based on the Vegeta shot.

Looks like the staff leaks for this month were somewhat messed up some way or another.
I can't help wondering what's going to end up improving once Toei's done working on Film Gold; because even Precure's looking really not-so-hot right now (or maybe they diverted some Precure staff to Crystal Season 3?) the difference between Go!Pri and MahoPre is wide enough where it feels like some staff members got shuffled to other places. Was it confirmed that World Trigger is done for good or are they moving it to another channel/timeslot?

There's a World Trigger event in April. I don't think it's ending quite yet. Also, Sailor Moon Crystal seems to be several episodes ahead of production, which means it has been in production for a while now.

Movie 6 is indeed the best One Piece Film and Hosoda at his best (his other works other than Wolf Children and his Digimon films should be avoided).
Ajay wrote:He's not an animator, though, so what's that going to do?
His comic could be used as a storyboard, or at least have him in the production for the direction or storyboard work. The comics clearly has better composition and staging compared to the animation. Even the way the story is told is better.
