Though the saturation may look too strong on your screen, on my T.V. it looks just fine.

Over all, good quality, really nice dub and translation. Only problem, shipping to the U.S. can get quite pricey. Just scroll down and look for the U.S. in ZONA E.
Just incase anyone was wondering about the quality of these spanish remasters, Zonadvd has posted on their site, a little comparison with the Dragon Box footage. I don't know if anyone has already posted this but here it is again:

Personally I think that the Spainsh version would look better in widescreen

Damn, the Spanish version is better looking than the Dragon Box! Any English subtitles on it? (doubt it, but it doesn't hurt to ask)

Damn, now I have to learn Spanish.

Is the Japanese Audio on it?I might get it and put English Subtitles on it from the new English boxsets. I'd be fine with the Spanish dub if the Japanese dub isn't on it, but the Japanese version is prefered.

If you have a PS2, the Action Replay also has a filter to watch DVDs from any region.

And I wonder when my disk set is going to get here...

The Japanese audio is on it, and to me it sounds great. Not sure if it was touched up though.

Can play both PAL and NTSC without any problems. Can easily be hacked to remove the Region Code. Matter of fact, just turn it on, make sure there is no disc inside and hit MENU>>19. Hit enter, and then find Region 0 and hit enter again. That's that.

They also have a player labeled as "Multi-Region." Don't even bother with that. CH-DVD 300 is all you need.

They do not have the Mexican/Latin dub (which is what Telemundo aired) of DBZ on them. By multiple Spanish tracks I meant that there are Spanish dubs of different dialect on the DVD's. Sorry for the confusion I may have caused.

What?? Is that true? No way! I don't believe that. Also I have to say that I loved funi but this set has killed the respect I once had for them.

A question for those who own the set and listenend to the 5.1 mix on a surround sound system: Is the mix any good? Like, directionality or good use of the the woofer? I would like to know.

Well their mixes on the Movies and the UUC were pretty good for an old anime, so I would expect it to be about the same quality, if not a little better.

It probably has to do with your videocard rendering the video to the screen using overlays (which typically have their own color settings that can make that happen). I feel this is the case if you claim its fine on your TV.

The way to get around this is to use a media player that doesn't use the old overlay system (although, most do... look for a player that supports VMR9 ... stands for Video Mixing Renderer... from DirectX 9). You need a videocard that supports DX9 though, but it uses better algorithms to display images (better resizing and whatnot). Although at first, it can make the video seem more bland because the saturations and contrast isn't all out of whack like what most people are used to watching.

Kendamu you could allways wait for the Madman Australian releases, they will be a bit behind but Madman stuff is allways nice.

If you mean the aspect of how they have the first 13 episodes of original DB in uncut/bilingual form, then sure; that's his best bet. However, Madman's DBZ releases are just as screwed up as FUNi's could ever seem to be. For starters, with their previous releases, the Ginyu - Great Saiyaman saga DVDs are all dub only. Add to that their Ultimate Uncut DVDs are cut off at volume 7 and don't include the Spanish version. And for icing on the cake, their season sets are looking to be exactly like FUNi's.

my friend has a program where you can edit the dvd disc, take out the warning agreements etc and just have the menu, so you can even take out the audio and replace it with funi's dub!

FUNi's dub!? I would like to take out their English subs and placed them on these DragonBox DVD's. I love the subs in Spanish how they're so translated correctly.
