Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Definitely warm fuzzies to see DBS in top 5 though it's likely because Doraemon and Crayon-shin weren't on last week.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Hate to be a party pooper, but the only reason Super made the top 5 was because Shin Chan didn't air. But a decent rating nonetheless.

Its not the 1st time, it was in the top 5 spot for the ratings of these episodes. 1,3,5,11,24,25,and now of course 35Ssgvegito30 wrote:Nice to see super in top 5 for the 1st time!!!

Gosh, the ratings were pretty low overall, except for One Piece and Yokai Watch. Does anyone know the reason (or lack of) behind that?Psykomatik wrote:Live Ratings: March 21th - March 27th

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Perhaps it may have something to do with Easter Sunday? If that's even a thing in Japan.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
DBS still has a 7th place. Doraemon and Crayon Shin-were not simply emitted.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
I wonder how Phoenix Wright's new anime will do compared to Kindaichi.
Will be a failure like Ultimate Otaku Teacher?

DVR Rating: 14th of March - 20th of March

2nd: Yokai Watch - 91.2
3rd: One Piece - 88.4 (Didn't air last week)

6th: Mobile Suit Gundam - 65.6
7th: Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (TV) 2nd Season - 62.7
8th: Gintama - 62.2
9th: Dragon Ball Super (Episode 35) - 58.0 (Didn't air last week)
10th: Osomatsu-san - 56.6
An applause for Lupin III, who ended in glory their dominant run.
Super returned this week to it's usual 9th place, which already has Super's ass print. That could change next week, many shows will end and Lupin III throne will be filled by another.
I expect Boku Dake ga Inai Machi to get the largest, last episode boost. Similar to One Punch Man last season.

Is PW also a Sunday morning show?Adaro wrote:I wonder how Phoenix Wright's new anime will do compared to Kindaichi.
I too am looking forward to seeing how well it'll do not just compared to Kindaichi, but in general.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Phoenix Wright is supposed to be Conan's new lead-in so it's taking Kindaichi's time slot and being broadcasted at Saturday 5:30 PM.dbgtFO wrote:Is PW also a Sunday morning show?Adaro wrote:I wonder how Phoenix Wright's new anime will do compared to Kindaichi.

I guess it is real then, toei is actually losing that timeslot, Guess they will be short one anime for a while now.Adaro wrote: Phoenix Wright is supposed to be Conan's new lead-in so it's taking Kindaichi's time slot and being broadcasted at Saturday 5:30 PM.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
If it helps lighten the load so Super can have a better result, I'm fine with another slot being lost. Especially if the lost slot wasn't earning them much anyway.
On hiatus.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
That slot wasn't really Toei's. Kindaichi was the only Toei show airing there recently.
If anything, A-1 Pictures is the studio that seems to have control over it. The timeslot was previously used by Denpa Kyōshi, which Kindaichi replaced. Space Brothers and Magic Kaito 1412 were using it in 2014/early 2015, and now there's Ace Attorney. All those 4 shows are A-1 Pictures'.
The timeslot Toei really let go was the Asahi one (where Saint Seiya Omega, that sumo show nobody watched and World Trigger aired). Toei had it for 4 straight years.
But then again, Sundays 06:30 am isn't particularly a great slot.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.
