So, i viewed chapter 10 and i have to say, the anime fight was more interesting between ssj goku and frost. In the manga i took it as ssj goku wasnt absurdly more powerful than frost, but in the anime frost got totally owned.
And the piccolo vs frost fight, manga was not even close to the anime.

Bless Toei. They treated Piccolo with respect. Toriyama/Toyoraro just shitted on him.

Well idk who's idea it was exactly. But that fight was amazing.Zombie wrote:Yes!buutenks wrote:So, i viewed chapter 10 and i have to say, the anime fight was more interesting between ssj goku and frost. Piccolo using his old techniques, after images, special beam cannon.
Manga seemed like they wanted to just get it over with.

I would assume so, it's been updated regularly for years now.emperior wrote:Is Dragon Ball Heroes popular in Japan?

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
It doesn't. Maybe the whole sequence wasn't in Toyotarou's storyboard or Toriyama didn't quite like what he made.LuckyCat wrote:Cool, does it say what got corrected?
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
That catches my curiosity significantly. I really want to know these sorts of behind the scenes details.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
As much as I wished Piccolo's fight had been longer in the manga, I still can't bring myself to say I prefer the anime version.
Sure, the extra layer of strategy our favorite green fighter employed was nice, but it didn't result in many interesting maneuvers. The match mostly consisted of a bunch of gimmicks strung together. Toei has a bad habit of overusing special techniques, and its writers once again fell back on using an old move, rather than coming up with actual fight choreography.
What the manga fight lacked in length, it made up for in dynamic panels and character movement. It even included Piccolo using his stretchy-arm power, the coolest callback from the anime fight - and certainly a lot more novel than spamming after images.
And in the manga, Piccolo clearly fought Frost to a deadlock, so I'm not even sure why fans find it so offensive. Despite all I've written, I can see why some might prefer the anime fight, but the one in Chapter 10 is far from our Namekian hero's worst showing.

Yeah, Goku did it too against Freeza on Namek. First Freeza tries hitting him with an eye kiai, but misses, then Goku uses his own on Freeza and lands the hit.SansrivaaL wrote:Its also Goku like when he did the exact move Frost did indicating (at least for me) that he really does like to get back at people.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I agree with this. When I read the raw, it seemed to me like Piccolo had a chance of bringing Frost down. He came off as confident and in-control, and was keeping up. As much as I appreciate the Makankosappo, it does not belong in a tournament setting. It's a killing maneuver.ParkerAL wrote:eight sentences about Piccolo vs Frost.

Did you guys notice the side of the Super Manga? There is the beginning of a "side artwork" like the original Manga series.
Could that mean, that there ist MUCH more comming? That image will take at least 5 Volumes, i guess.

That could be very important and probably indicates that there will be a few more. Toriyama will probably confirm in the interview that there are more stories to come.LittleGreen wrote:Did you guys notice the side of the Super Manga? He shows up in the magazine promoting stuff.kinisking wrote:Is that someone important holding the volume?LittleGreen wrote:Did you guys notice the side of the Super Manga? That would be very nice!
I think so, too. That image proof basically that there is comming at least a few more volumes.
I´m SO hyped for that interview! Hopefully we´ll get to discover Universe 6, Planet Sadla and maybe a different Universe as well. ^^
Yeah i guess as well, that this guy is a V-Jump...guy/ Mascott. xD

Wow, he doesnt really seem like an appealing Mascot xD. We probably will see all of those imo. I hope that it turns out that u6 and u7 are the weaklings of the multiverse, so they'res all sorts of crazy strong guys out there.LittleGreen wrote:That would be very nice!

These are going to get spine art too?!? Much want. I probably won't be able to order the first volume as soon as I would like, but still. I'm glad that there seems to be much more in store for the Super manga.LittleGreen wrote:Did you guys notice the side of the Super Manga?
