I'm Sick of My Boy Magetta Getting Screwed

Post by Cipher » Sun Mar 27, 2016 5:23 pm

What is that? He only gets one fight and gets pushed out of the ring by Vegeta. I know Super has some other problems, but that's pretty bullshit if you ask me. I don't know if I can keep watching if they're just going to keep shitting on my favorite characters like Magetta in favor of Vegeta and co. Just makes me sick.

Please move to the Super subform. Thank you.

Its ridiculous man. Toei is obviously fanboying over Frost, he got to fight three times in a row, and Magetta can't even get to shine for one match. Vegeta also doesn't need to fight three times.

Even Google is upset.

What a load of hogwash.

In all seriousness though, it would be nice for someone other than Goku/Vegeta to actually do something in Super. I don't count the fights against Freeza's men because that's from the movie and not Super itself.

- Gohan does nothing
- Piccolo gives up a fight
- Buu is hyped up and doesn't even compete
- Trunks and Goten have been demoted to useless comic relief
- Krillin does nothing
- 18 does nothing
- Tenshinhan and Yamcha do nothing
- Videl...why

If people thought the Buu saga focused too much on just the Saiyans, I don't know how they feel about Super that's literally just the Goku/Vegeta show.

- Gohan does nothing: As of now. It's a shame that his renewed vigor for combat hasn't led to immediate gratification but I still think he'll influence the plot in a major way eventually.

- Piccolo gives up a fight: Because he knew he'd be finished if he went to the next round. And let's face it, surrender or not, he basically beat a superior opponent with tactics. He had to get cheated to get screwed over. That's WAY more than I expected Piccolo to do and honestly, that will probably be his highlight in all of Super.

- Buu is hyped up and doesn't even compete: They really don't give you much of a reason to be excited for Buu's participation since he really didn't even seem amped up about joining in on his own volition. It'd still be nice to see how his abilities would fare against other foes but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he were to be used as filler anyways.

- Trunks and Goten have been demoted to useless comic relief: It only seems like a natural course of action seeing as how apathetic they seem to embracing God ki for themselves so until that happens, don't expect anything but comic relief. Besides, it's a tough job but somebody's gotta do it...

- Krillin does nothing: Humans "doing nothing" has been long established by this point, since about early Z even. I'm surprised you don't seem numb to that by now.

- 18 does nothing: I wouldn't say that. Raising a kid's not all it's cracked up to be. In all seriousness, it may suck that the second strongest female character in the series, in "canon" at least, is on the sidelines, if you're looking for female representation among the elite, we've got Vados for that and unlike #18, her character hasn't had the chance to reach "finality" yet.

- Tenshinhan and Yamcha do nothing: Refer to Kuririn.

- Videl...why: Besides her character being staler than a styrofoam sandwich with cardboard for the bread being a disappointment, I don't know what else you'd expect for her to do.

Kuririn is the strongest human. He was also useful in Saiyan and Freeza arcs, killed Cell in Cell arc and tapped best dbz pussy in Boo arc. I would say thats pretty good for a bald midget with six dots on his forehead and no nose.

The point is never in DBZ were Goku and Vegeta the only characters who did important things. The screentime was always evenly split between them, Gohan, Krillin, Future Trunks, kid Trunks, Goten, and Yamcha and Tenshinhan had some moments as well. Not to mention we saw 18 and Videl get their spotlight when they were new characters.

Well I agree, Magetta (while he could of lost easily had Vegeta gone all out) definitely out maneuvered Vegeta that match. He could of probably said "I'm the strategist of Uni6" and I would believe it lol. I mean he was one tough tank minus the mental weakness. He WOYLD of won had Vegeta not stopped on the stone. That play was genius. Lava spit ball for distraction->grab solidified lava and use it as a mallet.

I could literally imagine Magetta saying after the fight "He called me a piece of junk :'(. Little b**** ass is lucky he landed on that stone".

It was a great fight, and at least so far Magetta has impressed me the most from Uni6

What are they supposed to do?
they are nothing. Tien does nothing of relevance (except kikoho) since 23rd TB, and the last relevant thing yamcha did was getting dr gero's hand through his chest.

Gohan is finished completely because if he can't be bothered to fight in this tournament there is no way he is going to train to become anywhere near as strong as he needs to be,relevant. He just cares for his job too much.

Goten and trunks will keep getting pushed aside by their dads, so they are finished.

I don't think Toriyama likes Buu fighting as he did not in this tournament or in RoF, so he must be finished.

All the humans are now just cheerleaders so they are finished. Goten and Trunks are also cheerleaders along with Gohan when he is not working.

Piccolo will be there just because he is Piccolo and will fight very occasionally and then will become lead commentator.

This is what I believe it will be like from now on based on the evidence so far.

I just hate the bit in opening and ending where all the Z Fighters are together because it is just a lie really as it should just be Goku and Vegeta with Piccolo just meditating in the background or something

I'm a self-confessed Magetta fanboy. Have been since 2015 and I have all his merchandise. I don't know what Toriyama was thinking teasing us with all these posters and interviews about Magetta only to have Vegeta come in out of nowhere and steal Magetta's victory.

There's just too much U7 bias in Dragon Ball these days.

It's just Toei's way of shitting on Magetta. They even made him cry after his fight.
