Yeah, the episode itself is like 18 minutes. But it's nothing compared to Boo recaps, they went on forever. But i don't mind, especially if that helps them.Sodhi wrote:I have noticed since the last 2 or 3 episodes recaps have gone longer. Now all they need is long powerups to somewhat help the production

Before episode 33 the intro and the recap took the first 2:20 of the episode, however since episode 33 the intro and the recap take more than 3 mins and in 35 & 36 around 3:30 of the episode while the episodes themselves are still the same length. As Kuririn Fan said the episode itself is around 18 mins.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Animation Staff Discussion
I noticed that the recaps seemed to be a bit longer as well. I'm glad, steps like these are the kind that they need to take if they hope to salvage what they can. I'm not familiar with things like this, but why not try to make the ending theme last a little longer? They can't stretch out the opening since they'll probably stick with Chozetsu Dynamic for a while, but if they want to burn more time, extending the ending to maybe 1:30 or so might be an acceptable way to help just a little.

I noticed that the recap on 36 was longer, didn't notice on the previous episodes. I'm totally okay with this.
I could see them doing a longer ending. If the schedule hasn't really improved by the time we get to July I wonder if they would do a longer opening.Wezenheim wrote:I noticed that the recaps seemed to be a bit longer as well. Kurita Shin'ichi worked on the opening animation for Dragon Ball: Ultimate Blast a few years ago. Today he posted on Twitter two different fan animations, re-igniting my hopes of one day seeing him work on Dragon Ball Super. His work on Bleach was phenomenal, too.
Hopefully his fan animation is a hint of something cool to come.

That's some fun choreography he's got. The "zipping around the sky with the camera tilting" is something from Z that I really miss and haven't seen much of in Super.JulieYBM wrote:Kurita Shin'ichi worked on the opening animation for Dragon Ball: Ultimate Blast a few years ago. Man, you aren't kidding about his work on Bleach. (Background animation. Hnnnnghh.) Shinichi has a really good résumé. That first fan animation on his Twitter was really nice, and his brief cut in the Ultimate Blast opening is very fun. Getting someone like him to work on even one episode of Super would be amazing.JulieYBM wrote:Kurita Shin'ichi worked on the opening animation for Dragon Ball: Ultimate Blast a few years ago. Wow that man is incredible. I love how he made Goku's hair move when he transformed against Freezer! I miss Android arc Goku's hair animation when turning into a SSJ. The animation was really great when he turned SSJ against Android 19.

Is this really from the GT series? If It is, it can't be Goku, he's punching, so it must be Gohan, right?HybridSaiyan wrote:
Yeah it's Gohan. It's pretty cool too because this is one of the only times we see Gohan in his SS state donning his father's colors.dbgtFO wrote:Is this really from the GT series? If It is, it can't be Goku, he's punching, so it must be Gohan, right?HybridSaiyan wrote:
Koizumi Noboru and wife Izumi Kyoko animated the final episode of World Trigger alone today, based on storyboard and direction by Series Director Ogawa Kouji, storyboard artist and director of Dragon Ball Super Episode #1. Their last work was ten episodes ago, so this ending has definitely been in the world for a while. Now Ogawa and Koizumi are poised to potentially return to Dragon Ball, unless they move onto another project.

I'd rather them increase the NEP length than the ending. As long as they don't spoil too much.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

NEP and ending are always the same length, neither can be longer. Only the recap can.kinisking wrote:I'd rather them increase the NEP length than the ending. As long as they don't spoil too much.

Solid episode. SSJ Cabba part was beautiful.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

I just noticed that magazine had yet another mistake but now for #37. The actual director for this episode is Iwai Takao and not the one listed.Psykomatik wrote: Episode 37:

This episode is full of awesome close ups shots and the animation/art overall was great. I was surprised with the use CGI but it was brilliantly done too.
Props too all the staff behind this one. Great job!
The art in Ep 36 was great. Close up shots of Vegeta were absolutely fantastic in that episode. I agree, the staff behind 36 did great, hoping we see more consistently good art like that in later episodes. 37 didn't have as many great shots imo.

Shida Naotoshi did the BANK for Usagi's transformation. This can either mean one of two things: he's still around for Sailor Moon...or he isn't and he was just doing the BANK. With any luck he'll work on Dragon Ball Super...soon...soon...
