I have no real complaints with anything in the interview thus far. I like that Goku and Vegeta aren't intended to surpass the gods (for now) and that Future Trunks may be returning. If he does though, I hope it's the Time Patrol version. The less contradictions to the overall world at this point, the better IMO.

My biggest issue is the potential of a "Super Saiyan White" in the future. On one hand, it's already kinda been done before (Bebi Vegeta, some fan versions of SS5), so it better be more than just a color change. On the other hand, the worst part of this idea is the new post-Blue naming scheme & Super's lack of explanations. Rag on SSG and SSGSS as much as you like, but they at least provide you a clue about what the forms are. Gonna be pissed if we don't get a proper connection of what this form is in relation to them. If the transformation actually ends up coming to pass, that is.

If Trunks really does come back and introduces more parallel worlds, movie characters could actually start becoming canon to the current canon timeline. Imagine if Trunks references the GT timeline or something. So many possibilities!

Nothing wrong with liking video game characters, but i'm pretty sure he's talking about main series. And it can't be Oob, because he's a little kid now, and he appears for the first time in the end. It's can't be Bra, because she's so unimportant and she has to be born first. It's probably Future Trunks.

Maybe the "character look too old " justification has been overcame, we have a bunch of new characters. We know Goku and Vegeta will stay the same until their eighties, Piccolo and Boo have a long time to live. Gohan and the kids are young. The rest of the characters barely do anything and Bulma has beauty products.

The EoZ is kinda of a forced ending, I can see Mr.Toriyama being currently dissatisfied with it, or at least willing to let it be unrelated to Super.

I'm not wanting a new Saiyan transformation either. At all. They've grown stale. But, I figured there's no escaping it for the sake of merchandising, so I'm "allowing" (as if I have any say or control) a final freebie at some point in the series. As I mentioned though, I don't just want more recolors if I have to deal with them.

I think it's Goten and Trunks holding it back. I think someone somewhere near the top is for marketing purposes convinced there needs to be at least one young boy child saiyan in the cast (even though Goten and Trunks themselves have been dumped onto the sidelines in-story).

I always thought white hair would be the best color for the "saiyan god form". It would follow in line with how Beerus is an Egyptian-type god and the saiyan would be a Greek/ Zeus-type god. It would also fall in line with the color of fire:

Yellow > Red > Blue > White

White symbolizing the power of a sun/ stars.

Thats what I've always thought, that this White transformation would be the ultimate God form and that somehow it would incorporate the color of fire.

Dunno if this line had been pointed out, but regarding the "future-related character", Toriyama also added "That's a pretty popular character! Hopefully the kids will be happy."

If we are just thinking about Toriyama characters, that really does heavily imply Future Trunks.

After reading the draft on Herms twitter, I'm thinking the villain they meant was Freeza during the F arc of Super, not any future white-haired villain. It does look like they spoilered white-haired blueper saiyan though, but I think everyone was kind of expecting another transformation anyway. I'm also convinced it's Future Trunks they're talking about who's coming back.

I just hope my questions about the current arc get answered before we move on to Future Trunks stuff; I won't be able to enjoy his return as much if we don't get to visit Planet Sadla before he returns to the plot.

But he gave Freeza a Golden Form, which doesn't clash with a white haired Super Saiyan. Of course in the end, they have Freeza transformed back to his white form before getting killed, but that didn't necessarily have to happen either.
And he could have just mentioned Freeza if that really was the case.

His "next enemy" comment is ambiguous - it could be Freeza, but why didn't he just say "Freeza"?
Besides, SS Blue fought Golden Freeza, so they wouldn't really clash..

Nice tidbit about Super Saiyan Blue. It's blue coz Battle of Gods was red lol, interesting choice.

Future Trunks confirmed to be coming back somehow. That's awesome. Will he be classic Future Trunks or all Xenoverse/DBO inspired?! Imagine if we get to hear about Buu from Trunks timeline that would be so awesome.

And Super is gonna have at least one more arc with a villian with white hair. From the draft I didn't read that as Frieza at all where are people getting that from?

You know it occurred to me; I'm probably not as excited for Future Trunks returning because he's "returned" so many many times in the videogames over recent years. From DBO to Heroes to Xenoverse. Even though I like him a lot, I can't think of him coming back without thinking of the videogames at this point; unfortunately.
