They say a certain character related to the future will appear and that the character in question was very popular, which fits Future Trunks to a tee(even more popular than Ultimate Gohan during the battle with Gotenks-Buu and that was after having zero involvement in the story the entire arc!).Surely he can't give away such a big spoiler like Future Trunks returning.

Why not just say it would've clashed with Freeza ? and even that wouldn't make much sense cause he was Gold when they fought him.
