Dragon Ball Super ROF arc - Your thoughts?!

Oh course he did little at the TV series production level, what the fuck do you expect? Hes a manga artist. He is old, so he cant write the manga now, so these scripts are the second best thing. GT is garbage and he wasnt involved with its story at all.

Considering how bad RoF is, which is why we are having this discussion in the first place and we have threads titled "RoF vs Super 17 vs Garlic Jr." Or Super vs GT. The argument can be made that being a story from Toriyama carries very little weight in terms of quality. And someone else can write stories with his characters which are fair better than some his own work. Not everything this man touches is Gold.

RoF arc is bad mostly because of animation and terrible Goku vs Freeza fight, nothing to do with Toriyama. And it still has enjoyable episodes and it's better than non canon piece of trash that is GT. RoF movie made 63 million dollars, so i would say that it does turn to gold, everything he touches.

Star Wars phantom menace made a billion dollars and one of topic grossing films of all time.
Fans desperate to see their favorite franchise return from the original creator so much that it makes a ton of money is not a good indicator of actual quality. So no, Toriyama and his story writing is not above reproach. This is not an all or nothing position. There are legitimately bad parts of super that are worse than GT and vice versa. Making a blanket statement that that even the worst parts of Super are better than any part of GT and has no redeeming qualities is blind fanaticism. If this is your position then it's impossible for you to be objective in this conversation.

Just cause f had some good moments doesnt make it better than gt hell gt had some good moments that doens't stop it from being shit rof was pretty much super 17 arc of super the only good parts about it was goku one inch punch,z fighters vs the mooks and movies animation. Rof felt like a bad fanfiction coming to life.

Are you talking about the arc or the movie? Because the movie was fine my only real gripe being the entire story in general but everything else about it was fine. But this thread is about the arc in Super not the movie. The only reason many people didn't enjoy RoF movie were the story and concepts in it.
