Lol sorry guys, I couldn't resist a last minute April Fools joke. But anyway, back to speculation! I think it will be announced either late summer or early Fall of this year. Since Kai 1.0 was announced 3 months before it started airing, it makes sense that 2.0 will be announced a few months before it begins airing (which will hopefully be right after 1.0 finishes up on Toonami).

Bad joke. And I'm pretty sure it was the 2nd of April in your time zone, too.

Nope, it was April 1st in my time zone. But again, apologies to anyone who got their hopes up.

Where do you live? Even in Europe was April 2nd.

Must have been over. There is no state that is over 9 hours behind Europe...

I live in the same time zone as VegettoEX (Eastern Standard Time). It was 10:14pm on April 1st. That's why I said "last minute" April Fools joke.

I probably should have done it earlier in the day to avoid irritating people....or just not done it at all lol.

Yeah, and that "lol" at the end makes it seem like you arent repentant and dont care about other people's feelings.

Sorry about the RickRoll guys and for getting everyone's hopes up. Like people have mentioned, it was at the end of the day in my timezone and was April 2nd in many other parts of the world; so it was definitely bad timing on my part. I too am looking forward to this eventual release, so I understand the disappointment. So again, my apologies. I shall not post poorly-timed & deceitful jokes in the future. (the "lol" was me still thinking it was a funny joke and not realizing the amount of disappointment it must have caused)

But back on topic, here's another bit of (very minor news): Sean Schemmel is once again not afraid to talk about how he has indeed recorded for the Buu saga of Kai.

Judging by the question and his response, are we to assume that he has finished recording? Or just that he has done some dubbing for it?

Also, do NDAs not apply to Sean Schemmel? He seems to be the only voice actor on Twitter who even acknowledges Buu Kai. I can understand accidentally letting something slip at a convention or podcast since he may be caught up in the conversation. But on Twitter, that shouldn't be the case. Does he not care? Or does this indicate an imminent release? Probably the former, I'd say.

He's probably been done with the Boo saga since 2014. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. I think the whole thing with the NDA was probably a special case where they probably allowed him to talk about it. After all, Kai 2.0 has been out for almost two years.

Even if they did, Funi is obviously a tight nit little group of folks. So I mean... What could or would they even do with him? Its not like he's disposable.

It's nothing new though. We've known for some time he's been dubbing/dubbed Kai already, as he's said it at least three times on twitter, and a handful of times in interviews/podcasts.

It'd be my guess that when Toonami licensed Kai, they licensed all 167 episodes, and that's why FUNi haven't announced it yet, as it is too early because the Buu Arc won't start until November, which is when episode 98 is due to finish.

Amazon.com is known to have tons and tons of reviews by its customers so let's take a look at Dragon Ball Z Kai, Dragon Ball Z: Orange Bricks and the Dragon Ball Z: Blu-ray Seasons.

Dragon Ball Z Kai
Dragon Ball Z Kai: Season 1 - 93 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z Kai: Season 2 - 39 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z Kai: Season 3 - 56 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z Kai: Season 4 - 48 Reviews

Overall total: 236 reviews

Dragon Ball Z: Part 1 - 55 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Part 2 - 24 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Part 3 - 17 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Part 4 - 20 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Part 5 - 13 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Part 6 - 22 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Part 7 - 11 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Part 8 - 20 Reviews

Overall total: 182 reviews

Not even a single one reached 100 reviews either from the Part/Season collection.

Dragon Ball Z - Orange Bricks
Dragon Ball Z: Season 1 - 408 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 2 - 448 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 3 - 458 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 4 - 225 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 5 - 210 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 6 - 228 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 7 - 205 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 8 - 211 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 9 - 203 Reviews

Overall total: 2,596 reviews

Goes from 200-400 reviews.

Dragon Ball Z - Blu-ray Seasons

Dragon Ball Z: Season 1 (Blu-ray) - 355 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 2 (Blu-ray) - 200 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 3 (Blu-ray) - 458 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 4 (Blu-ray) - 110 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 5 (Blu-ray) - 95 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 6 (Blu-ray) - 99 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 7 (Blu-ray) - 86 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 8 (Blu-ray) - 86 Reviews
Dragon Ball Z: Season 9 (Blu-ray) - 89 Reviews

Overall total: 1,578 reviews

Ranges from 86 to 458 reviews.

My point? Amazon customers are very vocal and like others to read their reviews so seeing such a little amount makes it look like DBZK is nothing more than a niche title for a small crowd.

Poor advertising man. Poor advertising is something that really pisses me off. Ads gotta pumped out and they have to be effective. Actually explain the product well.

Sean Schemmel is here in England at a convention in Bristol. He's given a Q&A, and has confirmed that recording for the Buu Arc of Kai has finished.

At least we know for sure they're done.

Did he comment at all about when we might be seeing it? Personally, I think it will air once the first 98 episodes finish up on Toonami but I'm curious to hear what Sean thinks about it or if he even acknowledged the ridiculously long wait.

The guy who tweeted it is going to upload the Q&A to youtube later this evening, that's all I know. Sorry.

Hopefully we at least get an announcement soon. I wounder which they'll dub. The shorter japaense version of kai or the longer one (Korean I think). I heard it was the longer one, but I don't wanna say it as a fact cause i'm not sure.
Any post before 8/7/2016 isn't mine. This account was a gift from someone who thought the account was already banned. Saved me the trouble of making a new one haha XD

I love DB/DBZ/DBGT/DBZK/DBS (If I didn't why would I be here? XD)

It's probably going to be the longer one, which is the international version and is called "The Final Chapters". Justin Cook mentioned recording for "The Final Chapters" at a convention some short while ago, which pretty much confirms it.

Technically kind of defeats part of the purpose considering the projects main goal was for there to be less dragon ball but regardless it will of course be the international version. And in either case I dont care too much, again like everyone else I just want muh show.
