I feel like this is a possibility if only due to the fact that Vegeta's bad luck always catches up with him. His luck's been too good, too perfect, for a while now in Super. The other shoe has to drop some time.

Also, if they do visit Planet Sadla (man, it would be awful if it happens while Vegeta's dead) they could still employ Horikawa by having him voice Planet Sadla's king or someone the way Tanaka voiced Yajirobe in lieu of Krillin's death.

Wait, I just realized if someone gets killed in this tournament they can't be wished back!. The place is between both universe 7 and 6 so that means it's not in either universe, Anyone killed in this tournament that has been revived before can't be revived by shenlong, so they need to use porunga, but odds none of the dragons won't be able to bring them back because they are neither in universe 6 or 7 and the dragon's can't grant wishes accross the universe (shenlong couldn't even find a dragon ball).

Before RF was even announced Toriyama was talking about making Vegeta a min character so we know he doesn't mind spoiling future developments for established characters.

Based on how he wrote them in the last 2 arcs and how they're written in the current one, I think it's safe to say it's not them.

It can't be someone new based on the comments made in the interview, so thinking logically it will have to be one of them 2.
I am saying if were to take bets on who Toriyama is talking about, Piccolo and Gohan would be the favourites.

New characters always have fast development spurts for obvious reasons. Goku and piccolo haven't been developed at all this series because they don't need to. They're mature characters. Same with vegeta now, I don't see him getting anymore development. Gohan's got some substantial development. He's become a family man, a professional in his field and has finally learnt that he needs to train in peace time.

Don't know if the translations I've been watching are accurate, but Vados promises Hit the Cube that Champa/Beerus use to get across from universe to universe...unlimited use. I can see Hit beating both Goku and Vegeta, stealing the the cube to get the last Dragonball which is in the 7th universe, right?
