Beerus is not impressed with Vegito?
Beerus is not impressed with Vegito?
I was watching episode 9 of Dragon Ball Super (Dragon Team subs) and at the point when the Z fighters are giving their ki to Goku, Gohan basically says "your ki has grown larger than it has ever been before" to which Goku responds "yeah this ki is unbelievable". Obviously Goku literally was Vegito and therefore had his ki.
Judging by Beerus`s face at the sight of this power (very unimpressed), I could actually see rage Vegeta being stronger.

It sounds like a throw-away line which the Super anime is filled with, but an in-universe explanation is that Gohan never actually met Vegetto, and his statement is valid. Gohan is merely an unreliable narrator.

Re: beerus is not impressed with vegito
Welcome to the forums! I don't consider Vegetto's power to be Goku's highest, as they aren't really the same person. I don't know what Gohan thinks about it.ryan s wrote:i was watching episode 9 (dragon team subs) and at the point when the z fighters are giving their ki to goku, gohan basically says "your ki has grown larger then it has ever been before" to which goku responds "yeah this ki is unbelievable" obviously goku literally was vegito and therefore had his ki

i don`t think you can pick and chose statements also the fact that goku agreed has nothing to do with gohan not knowing of vegitoLuckyCat wrote:It sounds like a throw-away line which the Super anime is filled with, but an in-universe explanation is that Gohan never actually met Vegetto, and his statement is valid. in dragon ball gt goku claims super baby vegeta is the strongest ki he has felt, i could literally just say goku forgot about vegito or never felt his ki because he is not the same person therefore i think statements should be valid until contradicted
also goku has a few times referred to vegito as himself “This ain’t good. The only way to get stronger would be to merge with Vegeta…and even then, I don’t think I could win.”
also thank you

I'm not sure what you mean here. Do I need to use every statement from everything; can't I just use relevant ones?ryan s wrote:i don`t think you can pick and chose statements
You could also take the statement literally like Goku *alone* has never had this much ki before, which would also be accurate. Gohan would then be a reliable narrator.also the fact that goku agreed has nothing to do with gohan not knowing of vegito

I don`t think you could take it like that, after all my friend to claim Gokus ki is greater then it has ever been before, When he has had Vegitos ki would be a contradiction on Gokus part not Gohans

Oh yes, that's just my personal opinion. But in my defense, I did give an explanation assuming Gohan's statement should be taken at face value.

Again, unless Veggeto's ki does not count as Goku's ki. Which it probably doesn'tryan s wrote:i meant the throw away linesLuckyCat wrote:I'm not sure what you mean here. Goku and Vegeta are Vegito so really it is their ki (at least in my mind) Goku does refer to Vegito as "i" in episode 5 but fusion is confusing in how it works

Does he literally say "I" (オレ) in the show? Does any here one know?

I used the facts checker. Fusion is confusing
Minute: 20
Context: after Goku regains consciousness following his fight with Beerus
Goku: “This ain’t good. The only way to get stronger would be to merge with Vegeta…and even then, I don’t think I could win.”
Significance: Pretty much the same line originally appeared in the extended edition of BoG. The word for “merge” here is 合体/gattai, which in Japanese is used to refer to both Potara fusion and the Fusion dance. Though in Japanese the proper name for the Metamorean dance-style Fusion is simply the English word "Fusion" (フュージョン/Fuujon), this is treated as a proper noun and the process itself is referred to with Japanese words for fusing/merging such as 融合/yuugou and 合体/gattai. Goku even introduces the Fusion dance as a 合体技/gattai-waza, "merging technique", when the concept makes its debut in chapter 469. On the other hand, the process of fusing with the Potara is always described as 合体/gattai, and not with the English word "Fusion" or the Japanese 融合/yuugou.

Re: Beerus is not impressed with Vegito?
Apart from Gohan never meeting Vegetto, I think Goku might possibly be stronger than he was as Vegetto, but Beerus being unimpressed with this ki doesn't mean Vegeta's was larger. I guess anything that wasn't godly ki wouldn't impress Beerus at all.
Re: Beerus is not impressed with Vegito?
Goku does agree so it must be Stronger then Vegettos and due to episodes 5 statement, Vegetas might not have been larger afer all he did seem impressed with Gokus kiHugo Boss wrote:Apart from Gohan never meeting Vegetto, I think Goku might possibly be stronger than he was as Vegetto, but Beerus being unimpressed with this ki doesn't mean Vegeta's was larger. God ki is not that impressive though because look a Golden Frieza
Re: Beerus is not impressed with Vegito?
I don't think godly ki determines the outcome of a battle, but if you watch carefully the episode Whis and Beerus made a big deal about Goku's ki feeling different from moments before. Super Saiyan God would appear, after all.
Re: Beerus is not impressed with Vegito?
Vegitto is a different and unique entity. Also his power level is greater than the sum of his parts so unless Goku's power level increase when in fusion Vegitto's ki is his own as an entity. The most accurate (reliable) equation for fusion power levels has been (Potential A + Potential B)x2.
Re: Beerus is not impressed with Vegito?
Goku literally said he was Vegitto, if it is not you, you don`t say i you would say he etc, i would disagree i can`t explain fusion only guess but i think they harmonize as one being but remain two.TheMikado wrote:Vegitto is a different and unique entity. Hugo Boss: good point
Re: Beerus is not impressed with Vegito?
Characters have never been shown to be able to sense their own Ki levels though. At least not in the same way they do to measure/track other peoples Ki. That's usually why characters make mistakes and think they are stronger than some opponents when the opponents are actually stronger. Characters have said things like "I've lost half my Ki" or "My Ki is overflowing." but a character has never given a statement like "Wow, my Ki is the greatest I've ever sensed!" That has always been a line from another person. Characters clearly understand that they are stronger than before but they don't understand how much stronger they are until they test themselves out or watch how other people perform.ryan s wrote:Goku does agree so it must be Stronger then Vegettos and due to episodes 5 statement, Vegetas might not have been larger afer all he did seem impressed with Gokus ki

Also I don't think Goku would treat his and Vegeta's combined strength as his own strength even if he could sense his own Ki.
Re: Beerus is not impressed with Vegito?
If you keep it simple, then ye the combined ki of gohan, trunks, goten, vegeta and goku surpassed the power of vegetto. Since goku agrees that his ki has never been higher.
A good example of sensing is ssj2 goku vs majin vegeta. Goku says, well ill finish this fast and transforms into ssj2, then vegeta goes ssj2 and goku says this might take longer than i thought. He knew vegeta had the same BP as he did.
nah, they can definitely sense it. What you r talking about is mostly overconfidence or being blinded by pride.Hitiro wrote:Characters have never been shown to be able to sense their own Ki levels though. Yes i am trying to keep it simple not over think it as i was before, Goku literally says Vegetto is himself and Goku says his ki has never been higher.buutenks wrote:If you keep it simple, then ye the combined ki of gohan, trunks, goten, vegeta and goku surpassed the power of vegetto. Hitiro: I would have to study if they can sense their own strength. Vegettos ki would be singular so if Goku was Vegetto it would be his power along side Vegeta no idea how it works though.
