Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
I read another Translation from ''Ken Xyro'' on FB.
It says:
''Episode 40: "The conclusion" (Might change)
The tournament against U6 with Earth on the line, has come to an end. Cabba is frozen in fear because Champa says that he's gonna destroy all his team members who didn't win. Suddenly, at this moment, the one who arrived on the stage was....''
I don't think Champa tries to destroy Hit, too. At least, he won against Vegeta. And for me, it seemed like Champa respect Hit a lot. (In Episode 37)

Ken Xyro aka the guy behind a majority of awful mistranslations for Dragon Ball Super. I wouldn't base anything on what he has to say.

I'm enjoying the arc for what it's worth. It's better than the alright but lackluster BOG arc, and a million times better than that piece of shit F arc. It's been a good fun time. I knew it would be a Goku/Vegeta wank fest as they are the only really marketed characters. It's time to accept it and move on. The same I believe will happen to the U6 characters probably too. I can maybe see 1 or 2 sticking around, but I see most going bye bye. Super is not interested in spreading out the screen time and trying to push more characters like Z did. It's interested in trimming the fat and just sticking with a couple people to keep it simple. They don't care about Gohan. They don't care about Piccolo. They don't care about Krillin. They don't care about Boo. The best you'll get is maybe some fan service with them if you're lucky. As characters, they don't care. Even Goku and Vegeta as characters seem pretty much finished. Their job is just to interact with others, rather than actually grow themselves. The only thing they'll be growing is their power levels.
I would like it if they stop trying to treat the openings and endings as something different with showing off a big cast, and instead just cut to what we're really getting. The most accurate part was Goku and Vegeta's aura's covering everyone else. Which is unintentionally really funny.

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Hey there! I am new on the forum, so feel free to point out if I am doing something wrong with my posts
Now about the future episode details
The story has really opened up! Having universe 6 lose ( most probably ) is pretty much unexpected turn of events..
Goku using kaikoen again! So goku is stronger than vegeta now I guess..
Goku with Violet aura and hair will look real nice ( like berrus's aura )
And goku got a new technique! It was needed too, Kamehameha was being spammed around too much..
As for monaka disrupting the tournament and being a villan sorts is not very likely.. He is placed with jaco at the beginning of the start song and jaco is a pretty harmless guy.. But then again villan's have made into the team before, it could go either way..

To me the tournament aspect will go down as my worst arc in the series.
I just want unpredictability and other characters involved just like during the cell part of the series.
To me the most unique and interesting characters: Piccolo, Botamo, Magetta, Buu and Hit get crap done to them in favour of Frosty Vegetable Men. Yes even Hit as his technique gets found out by the idiot(Goku) and is able to defeat him with kaioken which has come out of nowhere. I want either Piccolo, Beerus and Whis to work out Hit'shis technique and not Goku
Botamo vs Goku: As soon as we know Botamo sends attacks to other dimensions, we all lnow the only way Goku will win is by ring out. = Predictable outcome
Goku vs Frost: We know Frost's transformations already as he is basically Frieza. Goku is winnong easy and suddenly lose so something must have happened that was not allowed which was his poison. = Predictable outcome
Piccolo vs Frost: Probably the best fight but if Goku lost then so would Piccolo. Piccolo forfeiting because Vegeta has no patience. = Predictable outcome
Vegeta vs Frost: If goku was winning easy against Frost then so will Vegeta so the one shot is no surprise. = Predictable outcome
Vegeta vs Magetta: Vegeta is not in Super Saiyan Blue so we know he will win. = Predictable outcome
Vegeta vs Cabba: A Saiyan that can't go Super Saiyan is an easy win for Vegeta then. = Predictable outcome
Vegeta vs Hit: The one enemy they are worried about and because Vegeta always gets beatdowns, Hit will win easy. = Predictable outcome.
Goku vs Hit: He got reinstated into the tournamemt for a reason and it was to beat the strongest guy and the person who deafeted Vegeta. = Predictable outcome.
The only reason people might think it is not predictable is because in their predictions they were predicting unlikely events and because they did not happen they see the tournament as unpredictable, whereas it was very predictable.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
This Kaioken business seems like Toei doing their own thing again.

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

The summary specifies Hit being in the group of the ones that got defeated and who Champa wants to destroy.SaiyanGirl wrote:I read another Translation from ''Ken Xyro'' on FB.

If it is true I hope we get to see Monaca vs Champa.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
I find it incredible how you're saying the tournament was predictable after we already knew all of the details. Seriously, look at your "analysis". You explain the outcome after every hint or information has been given to us. If you had predicted before the tournament even started how it would turn out, then you'd be on to something. The tournament isn't exactly great, and it had some predictable moments (like Goku being the one to figure out Hit's weakness), but it wasn't predictable the whole way through either.namekiansaiyan wrote:Analyse it and you will see.

Man,seeing Hit being "frozen in fear" against Champa doesn't sound right.I can see him trying to fight back or escape with the cube.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
I actually think it might be Toriyamas doing. In the interview in the Super manga he mentions re-reading his manga to think of ideas. I think this kaioken business may have stemmed from there. Obviously it is just my opinion on the matter.Doctor. wrote:This Kaioken business seems like Toei doing their own thing again.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Whaaat? Kaioken making a comeback and possibly an explanation as to why it was never used in the series anymore (broken seal n shit).
That's pretty fucking awesome if you ask me

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
The Kaioken stuff sounds a LITTLE fanservicey, but that might just be because I'm so used to old techniques NOT coming back (with the sole exception of the Genkidama, of course).
It's weird: when the first few episodes of the tournament aired, I thought it was being rushed. But now I'm realising that wasn't the case, really. It seems like the tournament was never supposed to be particularly long or particularly dramatic. Again, definite parallels to Baba's tournament.
And while Baba's tournament had Gohan, this tournament will have...whatever is going on in Episode 40.

I could have gotten into anything...and yet I chose the story aimed at young Japanese boys about martial arts, and later about super-powerful aliens punching each other really hard.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
The Kaiouken makes a very welcomed appearance, I hope they animate it well. I also hope we get an explanation as to why Goku didn't use it after Namek, although we most likely know the answer to that. Kaiouken Kamehame Ha is meh but at least it's "new" and maybe it's here to stay (also, more content for Heroes
)
Maybe the supposed 52 episodes really do wrap the Super Dragon Balls arc up after all. Some loose ends right now are Monaka, 7th Ball and wish and "a certain character" related to the future

This is gonna be covered in the next arc, since Toriyama said that this is gonna be in the new story.alakazam^ wrote:Maybe the supposed 52 episodes really do wrap the Super Dragon Balls arc up after all. James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I knew I would get replies like this, you can't predict everything 100% but all these fights are in the predictable zone. All you need is something like Vegeta only goes Super Saiyan to predict the outcome.kinisking wrote:Lol but did you know any of this before the tournament happened? I hope he combines SSB with Kaioken. Against Pikkon (which was non-cannon), he combined SS with Kaioken.
