I'm not about to go through 39 pages to see if it was already answered, so please someone do me a favor...
How do you post images of a DVD set that won't be released until the 6th?

That and his avatar is too big.MajinVejitaXV wrote:Does it warrant a reply? Perhaps not. It's just that you are vying for the 'King of Run-on Sentences' title ;pChaotic Strike wrote:Does that really warrant a reply? but yes I was in a hurry at that time.

He's 18 pixels over. I don't think it's really inconveniencing anybody.BrollysKin wrote:That and his avatar is too big.MajinVejitaXV wrote:Does it warrant a reply? Perhaps not. I was just saying, who cares if he's a little over? Let Vegetto deal with that if he's got a problem with it. It's not like he's stretching the page or limiting bandwidth. I mean, Christ, who's even looking that closely? I seriously didn't notice it until BrollysKin pointed it out.godofchaos wrote:What is the point of having a rule based around the resolution of an icon if you are just gonna say 'it's only a bit over, so it is ok'.

Gotta agree. Mike is the boss around here, let him handle it. We're not asked to moderate for a reason.Acid_Reign wrote:Let Vegetto deal with that if he's got a problem with it.
Back on topic, I watched more of the set last night and got to the episode 19. I've found the key to the widescreen that bugs me:
The action scenes. The way Toei animated it, they did a lot of closeups in the middle of fights...and it really looks bad when cropped. It really hit me when I was watching the fight where the guys fight the Saiyajin in the Pendulum Room (though I picked up on part of it when Raditz fought Piccolo and Goku). I'll wait and see how the Nappa vs. everyone and Vejita vs. Goku fights look, but I've got a bad feeling...

The sale of this set is going to be huge despite it's flaws. Even people who hate the widescreen, and the shoddy remastering are buying it JUST to have the uncut Vegeta Saga, or JUST to see what Dub Voices + Japanese BGM sounds like, or JUST to see how bad it is... hell.. some are just buying it, to just buy it.
But I say it will definately die away after season 2 comes out, for 3 reasons.
1) people more than likely already have those episodes after the Namek Saga
2) people have caught on to the widescreen crap, and then decide to opt for the original fullscreen
3) people who bought the season 1 and 2 sets only bought them because they didn't want to pay a ridiculous amount for the original seasons 1 and 2 will stop buying these, and go after the older dvd's because they're uncut, japanese track, and have the consistant voices.
It's all just a matter of time before people start going "Ok, fuck this shit", and start to seek an alternative. So hopefully that's when FUNi decides to put out a fullscreen release, at the latest, if at all. But we're trying to get them to release the fullscreen sets before then.
