Aha... just something to talk about other than DVD sets... :shock:

DBZ seems to be kind of unrepresented in terms of cosplay here right now, so to promote it.. (*cracks whip* more male cosplayers please!!), I thought it'd be cool to post some really awesome videos of skits or people in DBZ cosplay.

...Also, I'd ask to please not say something like '...that cosplay sucks!' or 'I'd rather see a Japanese person do it...", because we just haven't got that good yet.. >_<.... most of you have never made a costume, let alone a DBZ one, to know what kind of work it takes to produce something good.

Never had the chance to go to a convention, nor have I gotten to see these skits live, but some of these were pretty enjoyable XD. In the last video link, I love how the crowd cheered and chanted as Goku came on stage, awesome.

Don't forget we also don't photoshop our pictures ad nauseum or hire professional models like the Japanese tend to do. :wink:

I haven't been to a convention before, nor have I seen somebody dressed up in person. I picked a clip randomly the Perfect Cell one, it wasn't untill after I clicked it that I realised your side note. I logged into youtube wondering what I would see and curious to why I had to login in the first place, to be greeted by the title, Perfect Cell Jerks Off.

I'm going to watch a few more now, hoping to change my opinion, but for first impressions... being polite I'm going to say I found that a little... odd. :?

I don't blame you. She had a really awesome Vegeta costume the first time I saw her, I thought she was male for the longest time. But she's actually really a hot chick under all that... pretty amazing.

I have an idea that I'd like to throw out there if y'all don't mind:
Why not act out a play in the middle of a convention?

You have like four or five people, someone gets robbed and everyone thinks its real. Then, some guy cuts them off and screams GREAT SAIYAMAN #1- or something to that effect. You could have Videl there instead as the second Saiyaman. Afterwards, you can do the little dance and speech. As for the other people involved, you can have Mr.Satan come the last second and take credit.

Sounds a bit far off, but its done right it could be fun. Keep in mind, I'm not a director or anything and it shows because I haven't thought through people taking down the fake thief.. I don't know.. I'll rethink this some other time.

Hmmm... how'z'about...

You have Goku, Bulma, Oolong, and Yamcha. You plant toy DragonBalls at specific areas (i.e. under seats and stuff) within the audience, which the four cosplayers rummage around comicaly in order to find. After they're found... I dunno, Pilaf shows up to steal them, and Goku fights him, maybe?
