Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
This might be off topic but I don't want to waste a topic asking a simple question. What channel does DB Super air? Also what time? I'm visiting Japan and I want to catch this weekend show's live. I'm staying in Shinjuku and I only saw one TV station show anime at all. I think it was Tokyomax or JapanMax or something like that.
Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Dragon ball super airs on fuji tv at 9am sunday morning in Japan.

DVR Rating: 28th of March - 3 of April
1st: Yokai Watch - 100.0
2nd: One Piece - 95.5
3rd: Dragon Ball Super (Episode 37) - 89.8 (Up 5)
4th: Detective Conan - 76.6
5th: Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (TV) 2nd Season - 72.5 (Up 1)
6th: Doraemon/Crayon Shin-chan (3 hour special) - 71.2
7th: Gintama - 68.6 (Final Episode)
8th: Osomatsu-san - 65.7 (Up 1) (Final Episode)
9th: Ajin - 61.4 (Up 1)
10th: Kamen Rider - 52.7 (Up at least 1)
BANG! Super explodes! Rising five places reaching 3rd; highest since episode 9.
A bunch of series ended, that certainly helped, however Super leapfrogged competition that it was never able to touch. Next week a bunch of new shows will appear, I don't know but maybe Doraemon will return to it's regular schedule.
If Super places ahead of Detective Conan again, that's a very good sign. Let's see if this wasn't an anomaly.

Super went full savage this time!
Which was a really good one. I'm glad our japanese fellows were interested in that battle.LightBing wrote: The ratings are from the Cabba vs Vegeta episode.

Cabba vs Vegeta was a good episode. I still hope we learn more of Cabba's back story soon.
On hiatus.

I am waiting for visit to planet sadla episode

That's also the episode I'm looking forward to most. I hope it happens. There's so much foreshadowing I'd be disappointed if they never visit there.Sodhi wrote:I am waiting for visit to planet sadla episode

While not exactly episode ratings related, I would like to take a look at what I will dub "international ratings", if you wil.
This is the data as of the third week of April 2016.
Some context within the data shown belowed:
How does this "international ratings" compare with the japanese one?
This is the data as of the third week of April 2016.
Some context within the data shown belowed:
- The announcement of DBS happened on April 28th, 2015.
- The first episode eaired on July 5th, 2015 (JP).
- The peak in this "international rating" happened during the series premier.
- The lowest rated period since its airing was between January 10th-16th, 2016.
- During that time frame, Episode 26 (January 9th) and Episode 27 (January 16th) happened

How does this "international ratings" compare with the japanese one?
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Let's break #1 for DVR this week
Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Vegeta vs Cabba episode was a very good one. Super is starting to cause sensation in the western hemisphere, if things keep going well, I predict DBS being as popular as One Punch Man in a couple of months, maybe a bit later than that, but the interest in the series in Latin America is increasing exponentially. The response Vegeta vs Cabba had in LATAM (Latin America) was massive and people are starting to talk about super around here. I'm sure that it will start picking up soon in the rest of the western world.

-DVR Rating-
Vegeta vs Cabba ranked that high and deserves it, but episode freaking 39 deserves more than anything to be number 1.
Come on Japan, it's been a long time since since we got on top. Make it happen!

Hot damn. That's our third best ever rating. Hit is a star.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Excellent ratings. Just look at the gap to the new Ace Attorney, and almost doubling the hyped Yokai Watch.
It's safe to say this arc is having a solid run already.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: TV Ratings Discussion Thread
Oh, wow. Very nice!
We haven't had ratings that high since the tournament began.
Prior to that, the last time we hit ~7.0 was episode 3.
