Jump Ultimate Stars wifi help

Post by _Jrinu_ » Mon Feb 05, 2007 8:41 pm

Hey guys,

I finally got my hands on a copy of jump ultimate stars, and I'd really like to start using the wifi feature, but I can't really figure out how.

Since I can't read Japanese I can't really make heads or tails of the wifi menu and I can't understand any of it.

I can't find my friend code, I can't even figure out how to set up my wifi connection.

Help would be greatly appreciated

Well, the fact that you have a Wii friend code means the signal should work for you DS too, so I'll go straight to the game itself. I'm going to put down something that I posted in another Jump thread, let me know if it helps:
From the main menu, go to the third menu from the top. From there, look at the left side and press down. After that, press right and then press A. Then, you will see four choices click the third one that shows a DS. If that doesn't work, try re-setting your wi-fi settings and check again. I'm sure there's another step involved but, uh, I'll add more if anything..

I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

I wanted know if there's any accessory you needed for the Wi-Fi connection.

You can choose between one of two things: a router (those flat box things with an antennae that you might have near your computer) or a USB thing to connect your DS to your computer.

I'm sure someone more tech savvy at this stuff could be more specific.

We have a WiFi router set up for the computers at home. I use it for my laptop upstairs, and my DS works with its signal, too. If you don't have or need one set up for any multiple computers in the household, then your best bet is to pick up one of the little USB routers from Nintendo.

As far as I know, you just plug it into your PC and... badabing! Instant WiFi.

Ugh, well what I have is a wireless router. It's basically what DaemonCorps explained but the one I have a Netgear something-something has to be set for a WEP signal or something. (I'm really good at things like this).

As for the USB method, I wouldn't recommend it. The computer that has the actual connection to the internet always has to be on to play those Wifi games, so if that computer was turned off, you'd get kicked off of your wifi game. :? Just get a router, mine was around 40 dollars and it was worth it. You can find them at RadioShack or anywhere else.

I guess I'll have to buy the USB port. I don't have a router unfortunately.
