It's possible he might return. There is an interview/spoiler saying we will be seeing a character from the future who we are familiar with. Everyone assumes it will be future Trunks but it could be Cell (he is also from the future).

But how can he come back? All versions of Cell are destroyed.

Maybe an alternate universe? You know, much like how Future Trunks is from an alternate universe. Maybe this alternate universe has had the Perfect Cell destroy the Earth after Gohan failed to take him out during the Cell Games. Cell would then have gone on to train and continue to absorb other strong villains that the alternate universe had (Buu, Freeza, etc) making Cell the strongest being in that alternate universe. Then maybe we could have Future Trunks come to the past for "x" reason, and as he returns to his timeline, there is a mixup and he ends up in the Perfect Cell's universe. Cell then quickly takes him out, takes Trunks Machine and then goes back to confront Goku and co

Now that would be some bullshit. Cell can't come back and he doesn't need to. He had his pretty good arc and bringing him back would ruin it and fuck the rehashes and revivals already, new content is much better.

Another resurrection would be horrible. Should it reappear, I'm pretty sure that Tori will give him a transformation that makes his design easier to reproduce for animators.

No. Freeza coming back was made to show that no matter how hard Freeza tries, he can never beat Goku. Freeza is a very iconic villain and having him come back was fine. However we don't need anymore villains come back. Fans didn't like the idea of Garlic Jr, #17 and Ginyu coming back, I don't see Cell doing much better.

Actually I didn't mind the idea of Ginyu coming back. What I didn't like was the execution.

He came back just so Vegeta could kill him and wasted an actually interesting villain in Tagoma. Imagine a full Gotenks vs Togama fight instead of the stupid headbutt the the balls gag just so they could immediately unfuse.

My own personal opinion, is no.

I'm not a fan of bringing back dead and defeated villains.

I didn`t understand the hype of bringing Frieza back, it had been done to death.
- Mecha Frieza
- Filler Goku visits Hell.
- Fusion Reborn.
- GT Goku visits Hell.
- Plan to eradicate the saiyans; a ghost form of Frieza

When resurrection of F came out, people acted like it never been done before.

Cell has occasionally made appearances alongside Frieza, for me they were both great villains, and over exposure and over use, is a just dragging something great threw the mud.

I don't think anyone would want to review Cell back into the role of the villain (Freeza's many returns have already bored). I would love to see him collaborate with Z-fighters.

Cell already served his purpose in the story. He achieved his goal of perfection, but was still defeated in the end anyway. His story is over, no need to bring back characters for nostalgia.

I like Cell and all but I'd say no because we've already had Freeza. If we add Cell then it would just feel like the exact same plot as DBZ just different skins on the characters. I myself really want new characters, new bad guys, new planets (etc) like we've got so far. If you go all the way back and watch episode one of Super till now, the ROF arc really feels like filler. I think it would have been a lot better if Goku and Vegeta never showed up, and Gohan and cast on Earth had to fight Freeza themselves, especially if Gohan was going to decide to train again. I would fear that a Cell Resurrection would share the same fate, and while androids are always cool, to me they have ran their course in the Dragon Ball world. In all honestly, the Saiyan's themselves have ran their course in the DB world in my opinion because the only thing they have left to do is protect the Earth. There's really no big plot to it anymore like Raditz coming back for his brother or defeating the tyrant that made their race extinct. Even though it is a fab that has been overdone, I would really like to see a Villian who can raise the dead putting the entire human race in question. The usual formula is a bad guy showing up and making a 2 minute scene only to be confronted by the cast and the harm to the humans stops. It'd be interesting to see a continuous fight against the main villain, along with something like zombies attacking humans at the same time. Oh! and get rid of both sets of Dragon Ball's and make it to where the Super ball's couldn't be used that much.

I've also got a question for all of you. Would you like to see Perfect Cell be resurrected back into the Dragon Ball Series, i seriously would. Imagine the possibilities and the outcome he would do to the Z-Fighters and pose of a threat he would come against them!(Plus a new Powerful form/Super Perfect Cell 2/3)

Nah. I mean, what would be the point in doing so? Especially after Freeza was revived? And I highly doubt anyone in Toei would want to draw such a detailed character in Cell again. All those dots...
