Let's show some love for "Dragon Ball GT: Transformation"

Dragon Ball GT: Transformation was and still is the only Dragon Ball GT game to date, and I'll say a very good one at that too. Transformation was a Nintendo Game Boy Advance released in 2005, it used the American TV soundtrack composed by Mark Menza and its gameplay was essentially a 2D fighting side-scroller with Gokou, Pan and Trunks. Gameplay-wise it's a really good game and while the story seemed accurate I never got too far because once all three characters / three lives you lost it'd be game over.

Here is a bit of info from Wikipedia:
Story Mode
This is the main mode of the game. The first level is Immecka, the first planet that Son Goku, Trunks, and Pan visit during their quest to find the elusive Black Star Dragon Balls. Throughout the course of the game, players collect the rest of the Dragon Balls and return to Earth, which has been completely taken over by the Tsufurujin parasite known as "Baby". The final stage takes place on Planet Plant, the Tsufurujin home world, which was wished back to existence using the Black Star Dragon Balls by Baby Vegeta. In the final boss battle, Super Saiyan 4 Goku faces off against a Golden Oozaru Baby Vegeta.
The amount of playable characters are as follows:
• Kid Gokou (GT)
• Super Saiyan Kid Gokou (GT)
• Super Saiyan 4 Gokou
• Pan
• Trunks (GT)
• Oob
• Piccolo
• Super Saiyan Vegeta (GT)
• Super Bebi Vegeta

Some fun-facts taken from Wikipedia:
Child Goku (with tail) and Golden Oozaru Goku are also playable characters, however they are only playable during the end of the story mode and are not selectable in any of the other modes.
Super Saiyan Trunks was listed as a playable character on Atari's website prior to the game's release. Despite this however, he is not a playable character. The site also mentioned that two villains would be playable, but in the end Super Baby Vegeta is the only playable villain.
Piccolo Mode - A Multiplayer Versus Mode where players play as Piccolo and his body doubles.
Review Scores:
• GameRankings - 67.92%
• Metacritic - 69/100
• 1UP.com - B-minus
• GameSpot - 7.6/10
• GameZone - 7.2/10
• Nintendo Power - 5.5/10
• PALGN - 5.5/10
• X-Play - 2/5

Overall, the game didn't do too bad with reviewers as it gained a decent score.

That's it! Hope to get some feedback whether you liked the game or not.

P.S. Wish there was a rom-hack that someone applied the original Tokunaga GT score as well as giving the game infinite lives or a way to keep playing without that horrendous 'Game Over' screen.

I didn't like this game. Like at all. I hated the spirtes and I played on both a IPhone GBA emuloter (plz dont ban me) and on a real GBA and both times it was just to slow for me. Give Advanced Adventure or Buu's Fury.

I finished Transformations once but I didn't unlock everything. The game gets very repetitive. Also, I think a game like the Legacy of Goku ones would have been a better option than this.

Even though Final Bout was not marketed as Dragon Ball GT, by all means it's a Dragon Ball GT game.

It's terrible.

It's clunky, repetitive, and boring.

Advanced Adventure did basically every aspect better, and was actually, you know, good.

No. That's not an actual Dragon Ball GT game, well, only in US and that's it because elsewhere it's "Dragon Ball: Final Bout". So yeah, just because it has GT characters doesn't make it a GT game, because by that logic then every other DB game would be.

I won't mind this game if it was not so short. I finish the game in one sit down on my car trip back in 2005 and I was mad that I wasted $30 on it at the time. I wish the game cover the whole GT story instead the first two story parts.

It didn't really hold my interest when I gave it a shot. Beat-em-up's need to be pretty special if I'm going to play them alone.

The game was rumor to be a 4th Legacy of Goku game. I guess Web Foot wanted to try something new and the game didn't turn out well as they hope for. The sequel was originally slated for a November 2005 release in early 2005 then it was schedule for a September 2006 release. The game was finally canceled later on. The game got mixed reviews and the GT brand name is nowhere as big as DBZ which is why it didn't sell that great.

I don't mean to split hairs here, but Final Bout is as much a GT game as Xenoverse is a DBZ game. The fact that it was so easy to brand as a GT game stateside and no one batted an eye tells you something--the writing is on the wall. And, if it's not a GT game, then what is it?

And yeah, this game is just bad. Using the same repetitive melee combo gets old, the music is bad, it's way too slow, and the graphics are about one step above what I'm capable of in MSPaint, which isn't really saying much at all.

It was made in the same timeframe as GT, primarily features GT characters, and even uses Adult GT Goku on the cover. I think it's safe to say, it's a GT game.

OT: Transformations is a terrible game. I managed to beat it once, but I had to muster all my willpower to do so. Then the game had the audacity to have you replay it endless in order to unlock other characters, which wouldn't be so bad, if it wasn't a form of torture and borderline unreplayable.

As someone posted above, Advanced Adventure did the same concept right. If anything that should praised, not this turd.

I liked Transformation. I definitely enjoyed myself playing it and wish Webfoot would've gone through with Transformation 2.

btw why do you use a random fanart for the main image o.O

I loved Transformation, was my first game for GBA! I really enjoyed the story and the Oozaru fight.
