Do you want Cell back in DBS?
Re: Do you want perfect cell back in DBS?
This think is the main reason why never appeared in any movie, even in those where he was supposed to be (Movie 12). Even Toriyama had difficulty drawing serially. For this I assumed that, if he return, will have a transformation that will probably make disappear its dots, but that I'd not like (were a crucial characteristic). However, if such a thing was asked in an interview means that many have asked a similar question.

Well lets compare:Ozotto wrote:My own personal opinion, is no.
I'm not a fan of bringing back dead and defeated villains.
I didn`t understand the hype of bringing Frieza back, it had been done to death.
- Mecha Frieza
- Filler Goku visits Hell.
- Fusion Reborn.
- GT Goku visits Hell.
- Plan to eradicate the saiyans; a ghost form of Frieza
When resurrection of F came out, people acted like it never been done before.
Cell has occasionally made appearances alongside Frieza, for me they were both great villains, and over exposure and over use, is a just dragging something great threw the mud.
Mecha freeza got owned by trunks, he got overpowered and easily killed.
Filler freeza, again was owned by goku and was over powered from the get go
Got owned by gohan in one punch
Got own by goku
Owned.
In DBS, he gets an upgrade which makes him more powerful than all previous villains, and not just by a bit, he is ridiculously more powerful, ont top of that he over powers ssgss goku and even destroys the earth, except whis turns back time.
So, dont compare filler with dbs/rof.

Frieza shouldn't have been revived. Neither should have Goku after Cell Saga. Dragon Ball has become a farce with death and resurrection. Nobody except kids can take the plot seriously.
Toyotarō: … I get the feeling I’ve just heard something amazing (laughs). Lord Beerus and Whis turn up in Dragon Ball Super, and have become an unsurpassable wall for Goku and the gang. What do the two of them mean to you?
Toriyama: Well… First off, right now I don’t have any plans for Goku and Vegeta to surpass Beerus and Whis.

Re: Do you want perfect cell back in DBS?
No but the other day I was thinking what if we had a Cell 2.0 that was once again made up of cells from the strongest being in the Universe.
Beerus, Goku, Vegeta, Buu, Frieza, Hit, Magetta etc all rolled into one Ultra Perfect Creation, Cell 2.0.

Re: Do you want perfect cell back in DBS?
No way. Super should have its own identity, with new plots, new places and new characters. Bringing back old villains would not only be unnecessary, but it would also be boring, since we know most villains inside out, resulting in a predictable character development (just like what happened to Frieza in his arc).

No thank you. Didn't like Cell as a character to begin with except for his Imperfect Form, tall about an ominous character when he first made his debut.
I would like to see some new interesting antagonists.

Hell no no need to ruin a good villian like cell so can be recolor version of himself new content no need to pull the rehase game.

The Cell from time-line 2 that presumably wasn't destroyed and had the chance to collect Buu/Dabura/Babidi/Kaioshin/Beerus/Whis DNA? Might be fun.

Dragon Ball was never meant to be taking seriously to being with and it was always meant for kids, so it really doesn't matter what we older people think.Faisal Shourov wrote:Frieza shouldn't have been revived. As for Cell, no mostly because I never like Cell. But more importantly, who the hell would revive Cell? Frieza left behind an entire empire that eventually wanted him back, even if they really hated him, but Cell literally has no one. His creator is dead and the surviving androids sure in hell won't wish him back.

he created a cell jr during the 10 day wait for cell games. However, he was too weak so he never showed up for the fight.HeroR wrote:Dragon Ball was never meant to be taking seriously to being with and it was always meant for kids, so it really doesn't matter what we older people think.Faisal Shourov wrote:Frieza shouldn't have been revived. Cell just left him in a safe place just to ensure that his race thrives always, even if he dies.

Don't know if I recall correctly, but...doesn't Toriyama said there's a chance to see more villains do a comeback, in the future?

Hell No!Der Crysis wrote:Hello guys i'm a huge Dragon ball Z/Dragon Ball Super FAN, I've been watching the series ever since my internet friends showed mee, wayyyy back in 2012-2013!
I've also got a question for all of you. Would you like to see Perfect Cell be resurrected back into the Dragon Ball Series, i seriously would. Imagine the possibilities and the outcome he would do to the Z-Fighters and pose of a threat he would come against them!(Plus a new Powerful form/Super Perfect Cell 2/3)
Re: Do you want Cell back in DBS?
If Wakamoto will try again, sure. It would be neat to see new animators draw Cell, too.
Re: Do you want Cell back in DBS?
No, I don't think he said anything about returning villains. Also Freeza is the only villain to make a comeback in the entire series unless you count Piccolo Jr and Pilaf. Toriyama has been good in keeping the villains dead once they died. Freeza was a special case for a number of reasons.MrBlackFox wrote:Don't know if I recall correctly, but...doesn't Toriyama said there's a chance to see more villains do a comeback, in the future?
I just don't see Cell coming back because who would want him back. The Cell Jr doesn't really work for me since Gohan mercilessly slaughtered them and Cell created one before the Cell Games doesn't make that much sense, unless he used it as a sparring partner.

Re: Do you want Cell back in DBS?
As they pulled out of some Freezer's subordinates, may pull out some potential students/other creations by Gero that can fulfil the task of reviving Gero or Cell
The point is that it would be a copy of the revival of Freeza, and would sound monotonous (already the return of Freeza was handled very badly). Like I said, if will be reintroduced to time travel, will be able to use the mysterious timeline 4, where no one knows what happened to the Cell games.

Re: Do you want Cell back in DBS?
Certainly not. Bringing back Freeza didn't work for me, and it would be far more unrealistic for Cell to come back.
Re: Do you want Cell back in DBS?
I think Hitto is the character who replaced cell for me, he kinda looks like him but at the same time is not really evil and makes a good sparing partner for Goku.

Re: Do you want Cell back in DBS?
No. Not only will he be turned into a joke, have no motivation, the series would only feel even more circular than it already is. Then people will want to bring Buu back... Oh wait. Hes there just not doing a damn thing.

If that's all you want, then all you want is fanservice, rather than an actual coherent story. And of course those aren't mutually exclusive; you could have a coherent story with "shine" moments! But if a story is perfectly coherent (and I'm really not seeing any compelling arguments that this one is anything but, despite constantly recurring, really poorly reasoned, attempts to argue otherwise), and you're bemoaning the lack of "shine" moments as a reason for the story's poor quality, then you're letting your thirst for "shine" moments obfuscate your ability to detect basic storytelling when it's right in front of you.
