Arale comes from Mayumi Tanaka's blog and Mami Koyama's website. The retcon is just a guess because the rough script for episode 1 of Super mentioned it occured several months after the Boo arc.

I hope so. Kinda can't take this guy seriously enough to be the highest rank above all 12 universes. He's just the king of all, so I'm hoping there will be an actual god that's even higher than him, and stronger.

I do find it odd that some people hate on the new character designs for being bad, but they are okay with the bad character designs from the past. I found some of the filler, older movie and GT character designs to be pretty awful looking. Like I find Super 13 to look awful with his over size muscles with his blue skin and orange SSj hair. Every time I look at him, I find him so silly looking. He looks like a fan creation than a real character if you ask me.

So? I don't remember anyone in this forum praising Super 13 design or other GT awful ones, like Mutchy Mutchy's Whip, Luud and others. Geez. is like we have to accept every fugly design just because Toriyama made it.

I don't know who these people are. Most people agree Super 13 was a bad movie and link his look to Vegeta with that dew, which is also bad. People also hate how Gohan, Vegeta, and to a lesser extent Goten all share a similar dew in GT as well. Don't know where this praise for GT designs is as it mostly gets contempt or people no longer really care about GT in general. The only design people generally seem to like more than hate is SSJ4. That's the only constant that comes back. Most of the 13 movie villains outside of Broly are also forgotten too since he gets so much publicity. I'm just seeing made up excuses at this point.

Anybody ever notice Super 13 and Broly have the exact same design, only one has Vegeta's hair and the other has USSJ Future Trunks' hair? They're recolors. lol.

Ok, so if GT's designs are as heavily censured as you say*, then does Toriyama really get an automatic pass for whatever he does when Toriyama is the one who designed a fair number of them?

*Maybe my bias is in play here somehow, but I've actually seen GT's aesthetic (if nothing else) praised many times over 'round these parts.

IDK why every other modern AT design is "big, round head and small featureless body."
