Which Goku voice is the best?

Masako Nosawa is and always will be the definitive voice for Goku. Though, I think Sean Schemmel has developed his own charm in the last 6 or so years.

Masako Nozawa. She just captures the charm and purity of Son Goku to a t. Sean Schemmel is a very close second.

Nozawa's scream is inimitable. Even now, chills down your spine in certain scenes.

Nozawa IS Son, IMO. From the innocent hill-person to the fighting obsessed warrior, she nails it.

Schemmel is a distant second, but only recently.

Sean #1 in my opinion.

There's no comparing Sean and Nozawa they have two completely different approaches to voicing the character.
You could easily consider them both number one, because it's two entirely different approaches.

But you could easily compare Sean with other English voice actors, where I would say he's number one.

Last con I went to in late 2015 Sean actually stated he rarely looks to Nozawa for influence, as they have two completely different things going on with the character, much more "screaming and pitches". It's a different way of voicing that's not done in the West, apparently. Sean also went onto state that he recently read an interview with Toriyama about how Goku's actually a selfish fighter. This interview came out after BoG's. Sean went onto say he wish he knew that earlier in his career so maybe he could have conveyed that more in his acting.

With the internet the way it is today, I think we're going to see a much better Goku from Sean and funimation, as translations are much better than they used to.
