Maybe he means an original instrumental to go along with an English Cha-La rendition of Shinpan's? What exactly do you mean, Kaboom?
[DeNiro Voice] I dunno, whadda yoo tink I mean?! [/DeNiro Voice]

Yeah, what you said. I meant, even if you can't do it yourself, if you'd like, you could organize putting a rendition of Cha-La together. It's up to you.

Well... if 90% of the sheet music and midi files out there weren't complete shit... then I would have a shot at it... but I just can't find anything that's even feasible enough to just learn the song...

And I suck at doing stuff by ear

Well, that's cool. I have to ask you two things, though:

1)What's your vocal range (soprano, alto, descant?)
and
2) Can you give us a sample of what you can do? o-o

Maybe we can put multiple singers together for this. Whaddya think, Kaboom? o.o

(BTW, Kaboom, did you ever manage to get a hold of Shinpan? o_o; )

Seems she's still up for it. Might we have a duet in the works? Only time will tell! Tune in next time!

We'll need one for the ending one, if we can use instrumental Marugoto ^.^
Which reminds me..how are we gonna do the credits?

I'm a tenor/barratone. But I take a lot of voice lessons so I think I know what I am doing. I will put something up in a day or two.

I don't know yet. Using Cha-La for the opening was a given from the start (It'd be blasphemy not to use it), but do we care as much about the ending? Or do we want to do something original? We're going to be putting in our own credits (meaning scrolling text and such), but the music hasn't been decided yet.

For the credits we could do it like the History of Trunks credits where it shows what happens to Trunks when he goes back in time and kills Freeza and stuff but with some fight scenes from the movie.
Can we use This song on the credits somewhere?

Hmm... it's a good piece, I have to admit, but it doesn't really strike me as credit music material. It's battle music, which seems to fit better with the fighting in the middle of the movie.

That said, though, I suppose if we wanted to we could stick it in after the first ending theme (if the credits are even that long to begin with, anyway). I don't think it's uncommon practice to place a faster-paced or more serious track as a second theme in the credits; it does happen at the end of a lot of movies... o,o

But this is Dragon Ball not to mention it's Movie three, when a massive villian is defeated. I don't think a serious song would do it justice, happy songs all the way! :D

I have some of my suggestions for the credits song(I just picked em' cause I liked em' :P )
1)Bon Voyage
2)The newest One Piece Opening
3)Dragon Power
4)George of the Jungle(Where the guy says "Look out for that tree!"

The last one wasn't serious

Or maybe "Step into the Grand Tour" where everytime they say GT or Dragonball GT the Letters "GT!" Flash in the background.

We really don't want to use songs from any anime other than DragonBall, because... well, it's lame, for one (sorry), and two, it'd be recognizable.

Anyway, folks, don't forget to audition for Goku in the other thread! Just under a week left to do so!

Yeah, that's understandable. What about "Dragon Power"? Just throwing it out there...

Dragon Power wouldn't work too much. It's more or less made for Movie 11 (Ever heard the translated lyrics?)

Nah, I'm gonna try and see if I can find a instrumental Marugoto ^.^ If so, we could have one of our forum members record it (Hell, a duet probably)

But yeah. I was more or less thinking the footage should be made into a square (Like FUNimation's, and some of Toei's credits), and have our credits going up and all =P

Oh, I'll have to rent the FUNI DVD and see em'. Could the Budokai 2 or Budokai 3 instrumental opening be used?

Oh, and above poster....you better prepare yourself for a warning/banning.(Not by me, of course.)

Wait, what? What poster? You mean Kaboom's and Shinpan's?

I'm a little confused... @_@;

Oh! Also, Big Momma. If it's at all possible, could you record some more lines for your Goku audition and post them up with your first one? You're the only one who hasn't tried all the lines, so I don't think we can make a sound judgment on your audition like we can with the others who've tried out. So you might want to add on to what you've got so you have a fairer shot.

And no, in case anyone asks, I'm not favoring Big Momma's or anyone else's submission over everyone else's... I'm just trying to make sure we've got enough information from all the people who audition so we've got a good idea of what everyone auditioning is capable of. Which, to that end, I encourage everyone who wants to add on to or re-record their auditions (if they think they can do better) to do so. Mleh? :X

Hmmm...the post must have been deleted. Trust me, it's best to forget it. The person posted something....well, just something...

And yeah, I'll get working on the rest of those lines.
