Not sure if someone posted this before but I just saw something similar between DBSuper manga and Toyotaro's AF.
Good old Toyotaro. I'm sure this was done on purpose

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Well given that Beerus said so after Vegeta got punched in the head he could be referring to the punch and the fact that Vegeta trying lifting Magetta left him wide open to such an attack. I mean someone who weighs 1000tonnes surely packs quite a punch as the momentum (m*u) is high even with lower speeds. Vegeta weighs 60kgs. Magetta weighs over 1million kgs. That is about 20,000x bigger mass in Magetta's punches than Vegeta's. And Magetta doesn't seem 20,000x slower than SSJ Vegeta. Of course you can theorise that Vegeta (and other ki users) also use "Ki mass" to increase the momentum of their punches (a concept akin to the conversion of kinetic energy to relativistic mass when an object is accelerated to speeds approaching the speed of light) but that's besides the point.dbgtFO wrote:There's no need to mention the weight at all, if that isn't the primary reason why he can't lift him.
By the way I would like to mention that the fight of Vegeta Vs Magetta in the manga was out of character for Vegeta. In the anime they got it right. The prideful Vegeta being saved by the rules? No way! And here we are Vegeta wanting to make a very cheap usage of the rules (destroying the arena so Magetta can't stand on it) to win? I call BS.

You can apply pressure to the ground though. Have someone try to lift your foot off the ground, if you push down with your leg it's going to have an impact
Disclaimer: I might get into a disagreement with you. Sometimes I might even get feisty about it. I'll never harbor negative feelings because of it though. I hope you feel the same way!Jinzoningen MULE wrote: Maybe I should start making it a point not to comment when I'm not sure of something. Too many people know what they're talking about around here.
I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Base Goku couldn't move at all with 40 tons back in the Buu Saga. He wasn't "struggling". Also, like I mentioned before, the manga hasn't established at all that SSJ Goku and Vegeta are as strong as SSJ Gods now, and the only comment about SSJ Blue's power was that it was "approaching the power of Gods". So, unlike the tv show, everything is much more vague power-wise.Protege wrote:How do you exactly apply a resistance force when your already on the ground, even so 1000 tons shouldnt been that much for ssj vegeta considering that base Goku during buu saga was struggling with like 40 tons and how strong would vegeta had to been to struggle with 1000 tons? 25 times stronger than base Goku? Once again Toriyama/Toyotaro must have screwed up their math somehow or didnt take in an account how weak 1000 tons should have been for Vegeta in that state.Speedster wrote:No Vegeta wasn't actually able to lift Magetta's leg off the ground. Just Vegeta crushed the ground underneath himself while trying to lift him. But this anyway means nothing as Magetta was applying a resisting force.

dont understand why people are bitching, that was a really good chapter and the fights were handled way better than the anime

Slightly altered your quote and got how I feel every time you post. That's my opinion ofc.saiyanvegetable wrote:dont understand why you are bitching, that was a really good episode and the fights were handled way better than the manga

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
I like both but they both have flaws. I felt the manga had the edge till vegeta showed up (they were way behind at this point and have to play catch up) But I felt the anime got a bit too repetitive at times. BUT they are both different enough to enjoy. I like'd some of the gags in the last chapter tho

Yeah, it's not like Vegeta cut Guildo's head off with a sneak attack to win.Speedster wrote:dbgtFO wrote:By the way I would like to mention that the fight of Vegeta Vs Magetta in the manga was out of character for Vegeta. I also think anime has surpassed manga especially with the fight between piccolo and frost. Then Vegeta vs mageta and cabba weren't bad either. Hit vs Vegeta and hit vs goku were classics

Manga did way better Goku vs Botamo, Goku vs Frost and Vegeta vs Frost.
Anime did better Piccolo vs Frost and Magetta vs Vegeta.

Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Meh, weight numbers have always been stupidly low in DB. Like in the 1st chapter of DB, Goku lifts and throws a 1 ton car, but in the 23rd BT Tien and Krillin are impressed with Goku's 120kg weighted clothes.KaiserNeko wrote:Question...
... why is Vegeta having trouble lifting 1k tons?
I mean these characters take attacks with planet destroying force to the face and shrug it off, then struggle with a few hundred Gs
Also the manga and anime fight of Vegeta vs Magetta are just too different in tone and what happened. The manga decided to portray Vegeta as pathetically weak with him hurting his hand trying to punch Magetta and not being able to dodge his attacks, while in the anime he could easily kick his head in and dodge all his moves. In the manga SSJ Vegeta couldn't budge Magetta with his strength while in the anime he punched him out of the ring. The manga decided to interpret the fight as more comedic based while the anime played it straight.
Therefore since I take the anime as primary canon, I'm ignoring the manga's interpretation of Vegeta vs Magetta altogether.
Re: Super's manga by Toyotarō
Vegeta struggling to lift 1000 tons is just gag material imo for a reason for him to draw funny face on Vegeta. Kind of hard to believe people who can take 100s of times of Earth's gravity can't lift that much lol.
Tim Duncan is dope and forever.
