Maybe it's Gohan wanting Goku to fight him without holding back.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

And then like Krillin he gets punched through several houses and gets nursed by Videl .

Some people are mistaking saying GT doesn't fit in the story with saying GT sucks. That's not the case at all.

Unless you can reasonably explain the absence of Beers and Whis, SSG, Jaco, Golden Freeza, SSGSS, Champa and Vados (ok, these two can be easily explained away), Kaioushin and Kibito, Zen'ou and the Super Dragon Balls then GT does not fit in any way. Also, according to Hellspawn28, there's dialogue that contradicts this as well. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit, there's no reason to be afraid of saying it.
Chuquita wrote:I'm still on a lower level, but this went faster than it has in the past for me (so maybe I'm improving).

Translation(?) (If I did it correctly?)
That's mostly it. Bulma wants to invite Monaka but Beers disapproves and tries to make it seem he couldn't attend because of work.
Araki wrote:Lol, no. That's not what he was saying at all.

The (really dumb) interviewer was asking him why we couldn't see SSJ4 in Super. Then Yamamuro explained him that SSJ4 is a different transformation that belongs in a separate series that they see as a spin-off, and will remain there. If anything, it sounded like he was politely discrediting GT as non-canon, as he singles it out for not being written by Toriyama.
Besides, Yamamuro would have no saying whatsoever over power levels and such, he's not a writer.
That's not exactly what was being said, though. That interpretation is too harsh.

Neither does the End of Z fit either. All of that can be applied to the EOZ. People have various theories for both EOZ and GT for a reason. Thing is we don't know anything as Super isn't finished. We have no idea in what direction it will go, what it will add, or what it will include. By all means have a stance, but nothing in Dragon Ball's future is cemented in stone as far as I can see. Anything can happen.

EoZ is extremely short and it can all be very easily explained.

You can explain anything however you want, doesn't make you any more right or wrong since you and anyone else has 0 authority. Only supports my point the only people who deeply care, are those who simply don't like GT. I don't care whether it counts or doesn't. I'm not fishing for excuses. Can play the same cards on 2/3 of Super and EOZ's double endings. The only people who truly care, are elder internet nerds. The production team doesn't give a rats ass about people's canon debates.

All i'm saying is - GT is 64 episodes long and it shows all this insanely contradicting stuff. Ending of the manga (2 chapters long and 2 pages of ch 517) is written by Toriyama and can easily fit.

You can pick apart anything from DB-Z-Super-GT when it comes to errors and contradictions. No one is safe, everyone has their share. You can easily explain anything if you put your mind to it. Countless theories exist. It's an individuals choice to believe them or not. Everyone has their own opinions. Only douchebags go around pushing that GT is non canon is a fact, and getting on anyone's case if they wish to include it or not. There is no right or wrong answer. Want to include it, go right ahead. Want to ignore it, fine. It happens after the end of Z so it's basically inconsequential if you want to include that future or not. It's like how MGR is basically inconsequential to MGS by being past MGS4. Is it canon, is it not? Who really cares? It happened after the solid series ended. Want to include Raiden's robot adventure. Sure why not? Want to ignore it? Go right ahead.

I don't really care about GT and it's easily ignored because it's a short series. Dragon Ball ended with Goku and Oob, GT is just a what-if, purely Toeis creation and non canon side-story. I thought it was pretty clear, seeing as Toriyama (the original creator) didn't write it. This interview is nothing new.

Your opinion of course, otherwise you are one of those people and I have nothing else to add to this conversation.

Yeah, I see it analogous to Freeza's role. Freeza was the de facto galactic overlord by way of domination, whereas, I assume, the Galactic King was the de jure alternative - only, as we know, the latter clearly hasn't historically seemed to hold much weight.

Cool image, but the Grand Elders aren't Kami-sama.

I didn't read the entire topic that has taken place about GT in the last pages, but I most say that I agree with those who believe Super is trying to "fix" some things that GT did wrong in his conection with DBZ.

For example, Captain Ginyu's death. In GT he appeared in Hell, but he wasn't dead. And now in Super Vegeta killed him.
And the whole Gohan attitude too.

They mentioned Uub's birth, so probably he's going to appear.

EoZ was lame, I hope they re-write it. I don't care if it's Toriyama's choice or Toei's. And I don't even want to get into the stupid canon/non-canon argument. That was a lame ending for such an amazing story like DBZ.

I don't care too much about GT, although I do have great memories from my childhood. SSJ4 was really cool, and the whole aesthetic concept of GT was kind of cool (that metallic planet, the whole Baby plot, etc.). If they want to continue that story, I wouldn't mind, but I always think GT as an anime that take place in the movies' world. But since Super is an adaptation series about two movies, what the hell do I know, right?

Exactly. Besides, no one was talking about the end of the manga so I don't know why it was brought up in the first place but whatever.

The only excuses I've been seeing are trying to include Kibitoshin when we already know he has no reason to be or stay fused, and that's just one item, there's still the other Gods, transformations and Super Dragon Balls. GT doesn't fit but apparently it's such a big no-no to dare saying it when it's obvious. Why people are so afraid of saying stuff is beyond me, I thought we were all adults.

Probably the best truly "take it or leave it" opinionated post on the topic at hand. Bravo sir. Too bad the rest of the overall community is pretty shit with "opinions". Goku or Superman. Canon or not canon. GT/Super sucks or doesn't. "The DBC, because fuck you we take a childrens series way too seriously". Should be our slogan .

Just funny tidbit. I started rewatching the GT after looooong years of not seeing it (If we don't count few episodes last year in TV, which I checked mainly for czech subtitles).
I thought that, GT has superb art direction and animation over Super, at least in the first 30 or what episodes no doubt. Well, after the return to the earth with black star dragon balls,
I went on hiatus. Was alone this weekend and watched another 6 episodes and hell no... GT visually is better, but storywise, I would go for DB Super and rewatch the BoG retelling arc rather.
I don't get it, I loved GT as a kid, maybe because I had to be with my favorite characters for some 64 episodes more, but damn, GT is so lacklustery boring nowadays.
We are complaining about choreography, which is TOEI's weakpoint without the manga, but hell, all the fights with Baby were shitty, or even shittier than what we've got in Super,
until it somewhat changed with the episode Goku turned SSJ4. Only ''good fight'' before was Ledgic and Rildo...

Yeah, I seriously hated Super's retellings, because it is new series after 18 years, Toriyama is supposedly backing it and all, but I never thought that GT was this bad in comparison
as I ran these series back to back.
I must say that the DB Super Blu-rays look gorgeous, even when the shitty art stoods out sometimes, it is good to look at and mysteriously, looks miles better than the TV streams on the internet.

PS: I would advise to rate the series visually by the blu-rays on default.
