Will they kill Goku?

I've been thinking a lot about the NEP for episode 42... Monaka is actually fighting as a strong character from what it seems, however, in episode 41, Beerus pretty much showed us that he was only using Monaka as a concept to motivate Goku and Vegeta. So how could Goku be fighting Monaka unless hes in some sort of coma caused by something like the strain that his body was put through after the Kaiken.

Also if I remember correctly, Goku was confused as to why everyone was acting so weird in the next episode. Maybe Goku is dying, and hes having hallucinations of some sort. Kind of like a coma dream or something.

10 years ago you would argue that 12 universes wasnt Dragon Ball storytelling. Tori himself said he never saw himself making a universe the setting of a story. One can never really tell what will happen with Dragon Ball.

It's most likely Beerus in a Monaka costume. Toriyama isn't deep with story telling to that degree.

That's possible; Gokû is back in his old dougi inexplicably and a dream could explain that.

Also they used Mr. Satan's imagination bit of fake Beerus and him as ssj in that preview for 15 without explaining. I remember thinking that would be him making a movie and it turned out to be an imagination sequence.

Also, Goku being in the hospital with a coma is ludicrous - even in a coma he would escape!

I still thinking it's Arale dressed as Monaka because... why not? It would one hell of a gag, and Super never passes up on the chance to thrown in a joke or gag. And it would be a hilarious way to reintroduce Arale.

What would be the point of doing so? There are like a dozen sets of Dragonballs that could be used to bring him back, plus Whis (and presumably Vados) reversing time, some Kaio or Kaioshin giving up their life for him, so many ways to bring him back that death might as well be a weekend vacation.

It's not a big deal honestly, Champa can possibly shrink his stature easily. Lots of manga characters do it
