Since people are giving him suggestions for the show now, I'm guessing he planned or didn't intend to write anything further? Toei (Whoever else is involved) isn't going to let this hype train end any time soon!

Since Zen'ou was introduced at the end of the Champa arc, asking for a bigger tournament, maybe Toriyama was thinking of jumping straight to that one but was suggested to do another thing first?
Because i don't think they would make a new show entirely based on a plot that ran for what, 14 episodes. Not to mention that would imply Zen'ou's appearance was a late addition.

I'm not very skilled when it comes to the Dragon World Age periods, but Future Trunks should be in his late 20s at this point, correct? I know he was an adult when he debut originally.

It depends entirely on how much time passed in his timeline before he was forced to face Goku Black and retreat to the past/alternate timeline.

Thank you, that was another detail I wasn't entirely sure about after it being so long: whether time in his parallel universe keeps running while he's gone or if he can skip ahead to our universe without waiting for real time to pass (ie. When he returned three years later to the present).

It's up for debate whether he has to wait for time to pass based on the manga alone. There's nothing directly pointing to him needing to, but there's also nothing 100% concrete saying he doesn't. Counting all the supplemental information (which Toriyama may go along with), he doesn't have to, He can go forward and backwards in time and not just to two points 17 years apart.

Anyway, born in AGE 766 and we last see him in AGE 788. That's 22, plus 2 years in the RoSaT, so 24.

Trunks travels 20 years into the past, so if he has to wait for the full time to pass before he can end up in the correct year, going by that logic, you'll have to add 20 years to however much time too to get the AGE he's from. So if the Future Trunks Arc takes place in AGE 780, like the Champa Arc is thought to, he'd be 36?

We'll have to wait and see if it works like that or not though.

Trunks was approximately around 18 years old when he first appeared to warn Goku and the others about #17 and #18, as well as giving him the medicine. On his second trip back, he was still roughly 18-19 years or so age wise, as it took the time machine 8 months to recharge before he came back. Chalk on two years in the Room of Spirit and Time and he's biologically about 21 by the time he returns home to defeat his timeline's version of #17 and #18. Then his last appearance was three years after that, when he destroyed his timeline's version of Cell when the latter tried commandeering his time machine. Thus, the last time we saw Future Trunks, he was about 24 years old.

The Android arc was pretty much his and Gohan's so maybe we'll be getting that again ? Goku, Vegeta & Piccolo will probably play a major role in it but maybe those 2 will be it's main heroes.

In terms of Goku black I don't think he's an evil Goku but someone using Goku's name as his own to make himself bigger than he is due to Goku being known as the legend who beat Freeza.

I hope Black Goku doesn't end up being Bardock. I think it could be really interesting to see what happened to make this happen, and hopefully it could be the start of some really interesting revelations. Also, I'm really interested to see how it's going to drag in the Omni King, I mean surely this Black Goku won't be a lot stronger than our own? Unless it like villainous mode.

It's not going to be Bardock. The translated comment says you can pretty much figure out what he's like from the name alone. So it's likely the simplest answer, as the comment alludes to.

Toriyama brought back Freeza and is bringing back Trunks so that could still happen weather it's in this arc or another one.

This arc was also suggested to Toriyama instead of him just coming up with it entirely on his own, so Bardock definitely isn't out of the realm of possibility.
