I'm not excited by the concept of "Goku Black", but I am interested to see how Toriyama handles it. One thing I hope for though, is that Goku Black isn't the lone threat. A lot of what made previous arcs enjoyable was the lesser villains building up to the big bad. I want at least a small group of Bobiddi, Zarbon, Nappa, etc like characters as well.

I hope they're not going to use this arc as a way to bring back everyone who died during the android arc.

It would be cool if Future Gohan came back too but I guess he can't since he's already dead.

I meant to say there is no other big way right now by which he could help them besides of unlocking potential

Considering we've got two Kaioushin in Universe 7 alone, who's to say that Toriyama's comment was solely in regards to Rou Kaioushin?

Toriyama says Trunks barely escapes his time with his life... Is it possible that his mom is dead now? Maybe even the entire Earth of his timeline?

I am amazingly excited for it.

The thought of Toriyama handling something as basic and silly as "evil Goku" is something I need to see. I actually love that the series is doing all these wacky fanfic-y things.

This is exactly why I have faith in Toriyama handling this. I don't think it'll be the typical "evil Gokû" seen in fanworks at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if Black Goku was billed as the main villain, only for it to be revealed he was working for or being controlled by someone else.

Very disappointed to hear that Trunks is returning. For God's sake ... some characters needs be left alone once their respective arcs have concluded.. (look how Frieza's return in ROF was handled, it was awful). 'Black Goku'? What ?

So with Mirai Trunks returning and the whole time and space travel i highly doubt we will see Hitto again.

Look how Frieza's return in ROF was handled, it was awful.

It could've been a lot better but seeing Vegeta finally beat a main villain instead of getting beat by one was a great change of pace that'll hopefully happen again.

We might if we get an arc set on U6's Saiyan planet which was brought up more than once during the tournament so I'm guessing it'll happen after this arc or sometime before the big tournament which will probably be Super's last arc.

Toriyama says it's a battle that surpasses time and space and that even the God(s) of destruction, Kaioshin and Zeno get dragged into. If it's a big enough deal that Zeno is there I wouldn't be surprised if Hit is brought in to help.

Unless they start another Dragon Ball series immediately after I doubt it. Dragon Ball is making bank right now and Toriyama is happily contributing, they have no reason to end the series any time soon.

1. Glad to see Future Trunks coming back. Might as well give him SS2 and make him cool like when he was first introduced.

2. I'm going to wait to see what the Goku Black character is like but I hope it's not a our Goku. Might as well bring Broly back now and make them Karoly. Tie it into to fusions and Gotenks, Trunks, Gohan, Goku and Vegeta can use maxi fusion to beat him. But really I hold judgment till I see this guy.

3. If Toriyama was going to due a fan story about Evil Goku, why not just use Xicor? Toyotarō is Toyable isn't it and Toriyama joked about using his ideas so why not? Everything else is lining up with AF so they should have just brought in the face of AF and make Xicor Canon.

4. I hope even though I no it isn't happening but can Goku Black please use SSJ4.

I thought the 'future character' drop in the Toyotaro interview was too obvious to be Future Trunks, but I guess that's on me for being cynical and old and second-guessing myself.

Agreed. Glad i am not the only one disappointed with the lack of originality in Super.
