Black Goku Backlash!!?

Just imagine the shit storm it would actually cause if Toriyama really meant that the next villain or threat will actually be black Goku who actually happens to look like black person. I mean it could the biggest back lash going down to Toei and Toriyama probably in the history of their existence, if social media actually decided to make big scene out of it. Because you have to realize, if Black Goku actually happens to actually look black and is evil. Not only that would make all the black people stereotypically look evil like their some kind of criminals or thugs, but Goku name literally means Wukong which means monkey king. So then in other words Black Goku is actually a black evil monkey and holy shit that actually sounds so racist but WAIT!!!!!!!!!

WE ARE NOT DONE YET......

Since the whole plot of the story will most likely be our White Goku fighting against the Black Goku. In a way this would only promote a fascist like ideas because most likely our White Goku is going to be superior because hes the main character and win in the end by defeating the Black Goku. But for other viewers it could be interpreted differently, and in a way that it could literally spark a race war among blacks and whites.

So yeah its pretty crazy what Toei is about to do. And i hope Toriyama doesn't actually mean Black Goku in a sense of actual African Black looking Goku but instead just evil Goku. But even then that is pretty racist. Because if Toriyama naturally thinks that if someone is black then hes evil, that would make him pretty racist aswell!

But what do you guys? Do you this type of backlash could actually occur or am i just overreacting about this whole thing and overloading my brain with unnecessary minor details?. But then I'm also afraid that Twitter social justice warriors might actually pick up on this bait and force Funimation during their english DBS dub airing to turn black Goku into blue or green Goku which would even look worse and hide the larger truth behind ;(

Maybe Toriyama wanted to avoid it sounding too cheesy like "Dark Goku" or something, but "Goku Black" doesn't sound right to me.

Though his figure has not been revealed, it's highly possible that Goku Black is dark-skinned compared to "Goku White" we know, which would make things worse. Darker skin representing evil and barbarity in fictions is an outdated and racist thing since the era of the Lord of the Rings that must be got rid of.

The only examples I think of aren't even that recent:

-Black Lady from Sailor Moon (the brainwashed Chibiusa who has pink hair and light skin) from the 1990's.

-Cure Black from Futari wa Precure (one of the main heroines. She has red hair and also has light skin) from the early 2000's.

Part of me thinks Funi will change the name when they get to dubbing.

We still don't know is appearance but like it's been said in other posts, darkness is commonly associated with evil in many cultures and countries. I honestly doubt Toei doesn't have someone who would look at a Black skinned Goku and make the lawsuit/scandal association, immediately pulling the plug on it.

Also, I wouldn't call Goku white, doesn't Mr.Toriyama depict him with noticeable tanned skin?

Yeah, the idea of light vs darkness is quite a cheesy idea in general. And I dont think Toriyama really wanted Dragon Ball to be that way where Goku was suppost a completely righteous saint like person fighting against dark and evil. And even some of the villains like Tien, Piccolo, Vegeta, Androids 18/17 and Majin Buu in a sense were not completely evil and eventually changed and became good. Ofcourse Frieza, Cell and Tao Pai Pai is a different story but for the most part. So then are they trying to bring those kind of villains back,where its almost like its written on their face, that their going naturally evil forever?? Outside of Frieza in DBS we havent seen someone else like that yet. And I think they could have done a better job than just writing it on their face and making them look dark, or giving them red eyes perhaps where the story just turns into this classic good vs evil battle?

Well nobody is trully white either like a paper if you mean? Its just from the manga depiction of Goku's and that he never really had any skin tones to depict that he was tan. He simply had a white skin in black and white ink. While in the anime he had a more caucasian like skin tone.

Sure, but I'm thinking that Goku Black is most likely going to be a more sadistic version of Goku who probably doesn't value life or MAYBE it could even be the original version of Goku who had gotten his original memory back that he lost after hitting his head when he was a kid.

And maybe this is inconsistent in a sense, but our Goku who soo much loves fighting also hates hurting people. Because when Krillin asked him to punch him to test out if he could withstand it, Goku didnt just happily agreed to it! He gave Krillin of plenty of warnings that he didnt wanted to do this instead of just mindlessly agreeing to it. Which means that Goku loves fightings but he loves fighting people who are strong if not stronger than him and he takes no pleasure in sparring people who are weaker than him that he could incidentally hurt by accident.
