I wouldn't be surprised if at the end they use the Super Dragon Balls to wish everyone who died in the future back to life.

I think it's possible after Future Trunks killed #17 & #18 and Cell in his timeline, him and Bluma went to New Namek and wish back everyone.

What if later down the arc, that timeline has to be erased? Mirai Trunks to live in the "present"? Or he decides to disappear with it. Maybe he's forgotten as a side effect to make it both more sad for us, and less sad for the characters.
It would be something the Omni-King does, if time traveling to the extend Trunks has abused it, has consequences.

I could see the production staff deciding to have Goku Black kill Future Burma and Trunks barely escaping back to the past, only to have the villain followed and killed some of Z-Fighters and Burma and steal Super Dragon Radar. That will allow the staff to tie Universe 6 arc with Trunks possibly joining Goku (and/or) Vegeta for the adventure.

Like what marvel did with the ultimate universe by getting rid of it and bringing Miles to the 616 universe ? Future Trunks is a great character and him being in the current timeline would give us more than Goku and Vegeta.

Are you kidding me? That would literally destroy any development kid trunks would get. Hell to the no. Besides, if he was here he would have no reason to not slack off also. I mean half saiyan has basically been turned into a synonym for lazy in this new series.

I don't think so. Those episodes are "in-between" works before the next arc.

We're 3 arcs in and they've done 0 with him and with Future Trunks coming back they'll probably do less so him staying in the current timeline won't take away from his development cause it doesn't exist.

Mirai Trunks return won't harm Present Trunks, it's more likely to do him good. Unless the writers don't even use the opportunity given. They have to meet, right?
If Trunks was being developed, that would be one thing. He's just there being a (stupid)kid with Goten.

I think Super will likely last up until 2018 at this rate. It could go up to 2020 or 2021 if it still does well. Toriyama seems like writing more than drawing stories now. Also we also have Toyotaro, who may end up writing the series when Toriyama is done with the series. I can see Toriyama passing on the series to him.

If it's about 50 episodes a year then it would be around 250 episodes by summer 2020. I really can't see it lasting that long especially when the sagas are much shorter and 10-15 episodes each.

Dragon Ball Super has the potential to continue for over 10+ years concidering all the other universes being introduced.

My opinion is that it hasn't the potential, being that the big boss(Zen'o-sama) has already been introduced and he doesn't to be evil...

Yeah I don't think Toriyama would introduce someone that powerful if he plans for the story to continue for many years to come. Of course I don't think he's planning ahead but he could've waited to introduce Zeno and the Multiverse tournament until the end and not this early on. That would be like introducing Kaioshin or someone as strong as him during the RR Army saga and then having him watch in the background until he gets involved during the Buu saga. We know in-universe that he existed since before the story began but he was only introduced when he was relevant to a particular saga.

How do you guys want Super to handle Future Trunks timeline after he went back and before this whole black Goku thing happened?

Ideally for me he mentions that he killed Babidi and his minions and so Buu remains dormant. Trunks kept up his training so he is still a strong SSJ2, at least on the level of Vegeta when he fights Goku at Majin level. If they give him SSJ3 I won't mind either I guess.

OR

Babidi is still around because without all the Z warriors there is no where near enough energy on the planet to resurrect Buu. Maybe Gohan mentions he should try and scout out Babidi and put an end to his plans before they get too far.

I'm not saying pick one of those two that's just ideally how I'd like them to handle his backstory. I hope they mention something at least. What about you guys?

If the upcoming arcs will be as long as the last 3 then The Trunks arc will end at 60, a potential U6 Saiyan planet arc at 73-75 and the universal tournament at 90 or so.

That's of course not counting slice of life episodes like EP15, Mini arcs like the one we're currently in and maybe an arc or 2 other then the above so it's safe to say Toriyama will be able to get us past 100.

After he's done I think Super will end however Toei will more than likely start a new show like they did with GT.

I want a Red Ribbon esque arc for Super I think it would be interesting. A gathering of powerful fighters from all around the Omniverse plotting to overthrow the gods and the Omni-King himself. This organisation is called The Order of U13 they need to gather all 6 sets of Super Dragon Balls in order create a whole new universe. A dying Zenou knowing about the plans calls upon all the Omniverse heroes to stop this organisation.

Retellings shouldn't count. Then they'res the tournament arc which is just that, a tournament. Even baba's tournament in dragonball was the same length. I have a feeling the trunks arc will be 30+ eps
