Why does everyone look so young in Super

It seems like the more time passes, the more the characters look younger and younger. Besides the end of Z and GT, we've never seen aged versions of numerous characters. Just look at how the cast in Super looks. Bulma pretty much went from adult to teen. Goten and Trunks still haven't aged. Marron should be a bit taller by now but she's still being put in a car seat and being treated like she's an infant. Kuririn looks pretty young as well. It's been several years since Boo's demise and it looks like they're getting younger instead of older. It's not a big issue for me but it is jarring when I see a character that should be in their late forties and looks like a sixteen year old. Has anyone else noticed this?

If we're looking at Super, it's just the Art style in my opinion, Also there's still a 5 year gap (correct me if i'm wrong) between Super, End of Z and GT. So, taking GT as a measuring point, it's not really the way to go.

I understand that but it still doesn't make sense that everyone seems a lot younger. I get that they want the characters to look good for merchandising but it's still kinda weird if everyone looks this way forever.

It's because of the bizarre art style and the fact that the characters are drawn much scrawnier and less bulky than they were in Z or GT. Krillin looks like a fucking toddler sometimes.

Everything in Super is due to Yamamuro's character designs. Blame him for that.

IIRC, Toriyama made a comment in an interview that he regrets making the cast so old by the end of the manga. Maybe Toriyama and Toei are trying to rectify that by having the cast remain more youthful, at least in appearance, in Super.

My guess is that drawing them younger makes them closer to the idea most people have of them, thus making the series more attractive and marketable. Not that I agree with that

That's a really original idea. Even if I don't like at all, I could actually see it happening in Super
At the end, Bulma and Chichi would get mad and force them to ask Shenron to make them their normal ages again.

Probably easier to draw them younger. the most likely reason though is probably cause we can't have Bulma look super old or else how are we gonna have sex jokes with her or sell things with her face on it? Same with Goten and Kid Trunks if there not cute how are we gonna sell merchandise? No one is going to want
Old Princess Leia or Kid Anakin in their Star Wars toy collection unless there a hardcore collecter. No one wants old lady Bulma and Adult Goten cause it's the not the way we recognize them. It's depressing cause of the greatest things about Dragon Ball is that the characters do age and having them look like thier age would be really nice and make us appreciate them more.

To be fair, they do still seem to be aging Bulma by making "her sagging breasts" somewhat of a running gag.
