I thought the Super Saiyan battle as well as both Goku and Vegeta's fight against Hit were much better done in the anime. The base Vegeta vs base Cabba fight here is an improvement though.

Meh, nothing special. And as expected it covered both Vegeta's fights.

Vegeta vs Cabba is better in the manga. Finally, the first fight done better than the anime since the show surpassed the comic, but the Hit vs Vegeta and Hit vs base Goku were better in the anime. Cool chapter nonetheless, much better paced than the previous two.

I like Toyotaro's SSJ Cabba better than the anime's.

In the manga his eyebrows don't magically become thicker.

It does make more sense. If ssj made everyone's eyebrows thicker it'd give Vegeta and Gokû something like Fist of the Northstar eyebrows (or that one guy from FLCL) when they go ssj.
On hiatus.

Super anime honestly isn't as bad as people exaggerated it to be and this is coming from a guy who was once like you.

This truly does feel like an afterthought now. The Cabba fight was ok, but it felt far too short. It also doesn't seem like it expands too greatly on Vegeta's and Cabba's whole "student and teacher" relationship, but I can't read Korean so maybe it did.

The Hit fight was BY FAR better in the anime version. The manga has no redeeming qualities now that it is behind the anime by this much. Not that it's bad by any means, but it just feels like a throwaway product now.

So SSJ Cabba doesn't give SSJ Vegeta any trouble here unlike in the anime (briefly).

Definitley looks like Magetta is stronger than Cabba then.

Course not, that was most likely a Toei addition to hype up Hit.
In the manga, Vegeta just knocks Frost the fuck out, so he's unconscious for the rest of the tournament. Don't forget the anime also had Champa and Vados offer monetary gain to the U6 fighters, whereas in the manga, Frost specifically stated there weren't any prizes.

He didn't give him any trouble in the anime either, Vegeta was just going easy on him.

Barely any differences.

Feels very unnecessary now.

It was very clear that Vegeta was toying with Cabba.

I'm theorizing Toyotaro sticks to Toriyama's outline more so than the anime writers. What's more canon in that situation is not something I'm going to delve into.

Vegeta v Kyaba is better than the anime IMO. I like Toyotaro's artwork. Looking forward to the Gokuu v Hitto fight i am excited to see how Toyotaro handles it.

Like everyone here Vegeta Vs Kabba was a lot better in the manga, but I also like Vegeta V Hit, its kinda like the same where Vegeta couldnt do shit and Hit just toy'd with him.
Base Goku V Hit was... ok I guess? but the anime was better if he will transform into a SSJB next time. What I found weird was Hit's smile, that look was villainous.
Next chapter we will finally know if the Kaioken was really what Toriyama wanted or just another Toei nostalgia grab move.

I like how Toyotarou added some weird sparks on the aura of their SSJB.

He's smirking because he finds Goku interesting. I agree though, that's not really how it looks. I didn't like that smile popping up so soon. I vastly prefer the anime's pacing of him opening up during the battle, so far anyway.

You gotta remember Toriyama works closely with Toyotaro , maybe Toriyama invisioned Hit to be like this.
