Can you abuse the super dragon balls?
Now, since this Dragon can grant any wish, I assume it can grant any wish. If we start putting rules on this dragon then I assume it really can't grant any wish and has its limitations.
Why not wish for more wishes? Wish for an additional 25 wishes. Why not wish to be 50,000 times stronger then the omi king? Why not wish the omi king away? Why not wish to be the omi-king of your own additional multi-universe? Why not wish for the ability to defeat anyone with one punch? (One punch man).
Why not wish for the ability to gather the super dragon balls instantly with a flick of a wrist?
The list goes on.

There is a chance that it may have limits just like the Black Star Dragon Balls may have as well.

Maybe the dragon would just say "no." He may be able to grant that wish, but that doesn't mean he has to.

Not really. They're scattered across 2 universes so they're extremely hard to find. They're the size of planets so only absurdly powerful people with massive strength or telekinesis could bring them together. You must know and speak the language of the gods fluently. So no unlike the earth balls, these are really damn hard for anyone outside of absurdly powerful people, and the gods to get together. Even then without Bulma's radar, it's practically impossible just to find them.

I actually kind of think I like that idea. It, coupled with the increased difficulty in finding these balls and making them work in the first place, would be a great way to limit their use without really limiting their power. If the dragon is actually somehow capable of going 'yeah, no, not feeling it today' to any wish it doesn't like or deem worthwhile, then...that could prove interesting.Kamiccolo9 wrote:Maybe the dragon would just say "no." I'd demand a 5000 word persuasive written argument on why I should give a damn about their insignificant squabbles, why I shouldn't roll over and crush their galaxy under my giant serpentine ass, and maybe, just maybe, I might feel like granting a wish. Or part of one. Maybe.

I always got the impression the dragons don't have a choice when it comes to granting wishes, as long as it's within their power.

Realistically, yes, but I'm assuming that's not the way it's perceived in-universe.RedRibbonSoldier#42 wrote:Isnt that just talking backward?dbzfan7 wrote: You must know and speak the language of the gods fluently. .

With the previous Dragons, yes. But we don't have any reason to say for sure that that would be true with this newest one. It could very easily be that the next time they gather these Dragon Balls in a year or so - ...wait, was it ever specified how long it takes the Super Dragon Balls to recharge? - that the Dragon goes 'Wait, are you seriously summoning me just as soon as you were able to again, and for this stupid wish? Uh huh. I'm still napping, go away.'Polyphase Avatron wrote:I always got the impression the dragons don't have a choice when it comes to granting wishes, as long as it's within their power.
Not that there's anything to suggest this is possible either. It's just a fun theory, but one that I think would be another fun way to differentiate this set of wish macguffins from the others.

I mean, Shenron got the hell out of there in Battle of Gods without granting a second wish.

Re: Can you abuse the super dragon balls?
And there is that bit (though it might be filler, I forget) with Porunga basically going 'Sure, okay.' and doing the okey-dokey hand sign before granting a wish. Want to say he also blushed when Bulma hit on him (almost entirely certain that bit is filler though). So there is at least anecdotal evidence that the dragons kinda-sorta have personality.Kamiccolo9 wrote:I mean, Shenron got the hell out of there in Battle of Gods without granting a second wish.
Makes me wish Shenron had appeared kind of grumpy the first time he was summoned after Daimao blew him up.

However the counter to that would be him resurrecting Frieza despite him obviously knowing that doing so would have very bad consequences for earth and even trying to dissuade Sorbet from making the wish in his own way. Also he didn't refuse granting King Piccolo's wish either.Kamiccolo9 wrote:I mean, Shenron got the hell out of there in Battle of Gods without granting a second wish.
I dont think a dragon can "not grant a wish" unless its beyond their power or they are prohibited from doing so (like Shenrong being unable to destroy the saiyans) however as seen with Shenron during RoF the dragons will try to dissuade someone from making a foolish wish and omit details such as Shenron not mentioning that they could have just used their second wish to restore Frieza's body after wishing him back.

Re: Can you abuse the super dragon balls?
That would be the greatest dragon, and possibly character in the franchise. I would laugh so hard if after all that build up he just like "NO". I'd love if he asked for stupid shit like a 5000 word essay on why I should grant your wish. Not food related cause that joke is played to death. Hell even if he sent people on a quest to do something for him, despite being a dragon that could probably wish it for himself, would be tear jerking funny. I'd love that kind of character. Would be freaking amazing. Not simply like Beerus with "Oh I'll destroy you all if you don't!" He could underline that if they threaten to attack him. Instead though he knows he has the power to simply control people with the potential to get a wish in return, and he uses that. The amount of good comedy I could see from this would be astronomical.Kamiccolo9 wrote:I mean....If I was a magical wish granting super dragon, I wouldn't just nod and bow my head to any asshole with a wish.

Another thing...
Super dragon balls didn't turned in stone. So they could get all of them again and get a new wish?

The regular Dragon Balls don't turn to stone immediately after they begin dispersing though, so just because the Super Dragon Balls weren't turned to stone when we saw them dispersing doesn't mean that they won't turn to stone later on.Smilodon wrote:Another thing...

When kid goku catched the 4th star dragon ball after the wish, it was stone...But the super dragon ball wasn't stone when Vados and Champa was talking about the wish...Darkprince410 wrote: The regular Dragon Balls don't turn to stone immediately after they're dispersed either though, so just because the Super Dragon Balls weren't turned to stone when we saw them dispersing doesn't mean that they won't turn to stone later on.
And another thing. In Earth they turn into stone for a year. In Namek too (a namek year is arround 1/3 Earth). But super dragon balls are located in space...So if they turn into stone...How long will it take? We can't be sure.

Please open the spoiler text in Darkprince's post. He provides the panels that show they remain as Dragon Balls during dispersal and turn into stone a quick while after they're finished.

Re: Can you abuse the super dragon balls?
Look at the spoiler I have in my previous comment. Even when Goku caught the Dragon Ball, it was still showing the four stars, meaning that it hadn't changed to stone by the time they began to disperse. It's sometime between when they disperse and when they actually land that they turn to stone, so in the case of the Super Dragon Balls, it can be an equivalent of "between when they disperse and when they eventually stop moving".Smilodon wrote:When kid goku catched the 4th star dragon ball after the wish, it was stone...But the super dragon ball wasn't stone when Vados and Champa was talking about the wish...Darkprince410 wrote: The regular Dragon Balls don't turn to stone immediately after they're dispersed either though, so just because the Super Dragon Balls weren't turned to stone when we saw them dispersing doesn't mean that they won't turn to stone later on.
