Super Saiyan White

Anyone else hoping that Super Saiyan White or whatever the next transformation is going to be isn't just a color swap? If they are going with the SSJ hair again and are making it white, I hope they make it a bit longer. I think instead of it being a powering up or multiplying transformation, it would be cool if it forcefully drained out the user's ki, sort of like the curse mark in Naruto. I'd have it pull out the ki against Goku's will and it coming out in short bursts every few minutes with the bursts getting larger and bigger every time causing Goku to scream in pain. He'd fight in between the bursts. He would be in control of his movements, just not his ki and if it's all drained out he dies. The only way he can stop it is gain control over his ki and shut off the transformation, I'd have something distinct showing this like his pupils reappearing. It'd also have a ton of stress over his body and blow out his muscles as the bursts get bigger. I could see Goku's muscles collapsing and his body becoming immobile before the form drains out his ki and kills him, that'd be my idea of a transformation. Basically, it bringing out Goku's ki or "Potential" forcefully in exchange for either a immobile body or death unless he gains control of his ki.

If there is such a form I wouldn't mind a recolor or a different hairstyle but this is Toriyama we're talking about its most likely a recolor

I'd be happy to see a transformation that isn't just a color swap, but I feel odds are low since Toriyama seems done with any elaborate and or impressive looking transformations.

(It's subjective, but imo I see ssjg as really cute and ssjblue as just a recolor of ssj1 before anything else).

I would've rather Goku focus on the main SSJG transformation rather than immediately step into SSJGSS, but that may just be me.

Well, to be fair, that was the point that the staff was trying to convey, that being Super Saiyan Blue is Super Saiyan with the power of Super Saiyan God. That aside, how things worked out in an in-universe perspective do seem very sudden and strange. Color consistency would have been nice, keeping the upgraded SSG with the fiery hair and aura, but those are our cards.

I always like new transformations to be introduced but I'm not sure if one is needed just yet. Maybe though.

White seems like such a boring colour though. Wouldn't it be too similiar to the Yellow?

I'd rather have a more elaborate looking form but still with the blue hair.

We already have more or less a Super Saiyan Rainbow.

Red- Super Saiyan God / Super Saiyan 4
Orange - Gogeta Super Saiyan 4
Yellow - SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3
Yellowish green - LSSJ Broly
Green - LSSJ Broly (I've seen some depictions of him decidedly more green than yellow)
Cyan - Super Saiyan Blue (although it leans more blue than green)
Blue - Super Saiyan Blue
Purple - Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken Goku
Black - Super Saiyan 4
White - Super Saiyan Baby Vegeta

If canon material is only considered (No movies except for the last two and GT disqualified) then that leaves black, white, green and orange open.

I think it is more likely that we'll see a new version of Super Saiyan Blue if we *ever* get a new transformation. It's also likely that if Goku Black is at least part Saiyan that he has his own unique form of Super Saiyan.

Purple is possible if it is revealed that Super Saiyan Blue is only a stepping stone toward truly controlling the Super Saiyan God transformation. Super Saiyan Blue could be 25% control over God ki, Super Saiyan Purple about 75% control and Super Saiyan Red (which is Super Saiyan God) being 100% control. That's a silly theory of mine I just thought of right now.

Idk, every transformation in dragon ball has been a color swap to be honest. Maybe except ssj3 and ssjg(as the muscle die down and firey aura). Ssj4 is the only one you could call something that is completely different, however that was not toriyama's idea or a design.

SSJ4 was Toriyama's design.

It was the one that differed the most from previous transformations and the one that looked the worst.

I would want a future form to have a more distinct design but if it's gonna look as lame as that did then I'd rather just have a colour swap.

Silver/White and Purple are the only two other colours I could see working.

If they do make a SSJ White they would pretty much have to change the hairstyle, or something else about them, otherwise it would be indistinguishable from regular SSJ in the manga.

The most creative stuff it's in videogames like Heroes and Fusions.

I think the logic is to keep things straights as much in the main product (manga/anime).
So my guess is that we got no other transformations in Super, but maybe SSB Gogeta fusion, nothing more.

In my wildest dreams, Super had to be different from the start. Goku can somehow fuse with Earth dragon spheres, becoming something really complicated (more carved gi, different traits). Super could end to be the story of 7 "dragon" warriors across the universe that fuse with their planet spheres.
But I'm not Toriyama .

To be fair though DBS doesn't have a super saiyan form unique to itself since god/blue are imports from the last two Z movies. Besides, assuming goku transforms in the Trunks arc that would demonstrate a great deal of improvement between the last tournament and the next. I would actually look forward to seeing a Goku/Hit rematch with a powered up Goku no longer being held back by the kaioken's limits.
