Regarding Future Trunks hair colour being blue, Kid Trunks design for Battle of gods was blue and was changed to purple in the movie. It's that or having different hair may distinguish both future and present Trunks.

The left example he posted is Yamamuro's anime design for kid Trunks in the film, and it was still blue yet purple in the movie. So it could still be purple in the anime proper, but I'd question it a tiny bit more now.

That doesn't matter. Unless I'm misremembering, it's what was used on the character settei, given to the animators for reference while working on Battle of Gods. He fixed 18 and Maron's hair to be blonde when doing these references. It would have been extremely easy to do the same for Trunks.

I'd say it does matter to an extent. We're not seeing a Yamamuro design over Toriyama's, it's a poster, an actual key visual from the show. It's a different situation.

I respectfully disagree. We had enough silliness and light heartedness in the 3 previous arcs. And while I did enjoy the Hakaishin tournament, Super is desperately needing a more dramatic and serious tone like we had from Piccolo Daimao to Cell (which, btw, accounts for more than half the manga, so people should really stop acting like Super's goofy and comedic tone is representative of the majority of DB)

I want this arc to have some big plot twists cause we haven't really gotten any yet and hopefully there's more to this Goku than him just being an evil version of ours.

With this being an evil Goku than this would be the right time to bring Gohan back into the picture, he doesn't have to be THE main character but I'd like him to be just as important as Goku, Vegeta & Future Trunks.

Piccolo should also play a major role in this.

Piccolo always has a role but how big it will be we don't know.

I've gotta say I'm not really impressed. Goku Black really does look like an evil Goku, which I was hoping it wouldn't be (though the earring might mean it's not just Goku but evil). Future Trunks is apparenly with Future Mai, who is WAY too old for him. Remember that the wish for the Pilaf Gang to become kids again never happened in the future, as the Dragon Balls don't exist, and that Trunks is supposed to come from around Age 796. I'm reminded of how Mai looked in GT, which was in Age 789.

Goku should be dead in Future Trunks' timeline. A way I can see for him to be alive is through how Vegito was alive even though Vegeta was dead. Perhaps Goku and Black are two characters, Black being alive, who ended up fusing with the earrings somehow. I don't know, I just thought of it, but maybe. It clashes a bit because of how Goku-Black looks just like Goku when Potara fusion changes the outcome's looks, though. We'll have to wait and see for more information, I guess.

That's 11 years before Battle of Gods took place in the present. Judging from how young Mai looked (a weak argument in the case of Dragon Ball Super, now that I think about it), I think it's very unlikely that the wish was made that early. Unless she became a baby because of the wish. It's not impossible, but I think it's unlikely.

I'd have to look, but I don't remember specific dates like that in the original manga. Toriyama writes with the manga as a base despite Super having some anime exclusive elements.

I think it's far and away the most likely explanation, though as I said in earlier post, the dates probably won't shake out exactly. It's still close enough to not sweat too much.

This. I enjoy Buu/Super tone, but nothing touches high stakes of Saiyan, Freeza, Android and Cell sagas. Actual drama is very much needed again in Dragon Ball. The show's been spinning into comedy angle too much recently.

Wow. That is going to be awesome!. Looks like he's got the potara earrings, too. Question is, who could he be fusing with?. And assuming that's Pan, very interesting.
Perhaps we could see Goten from the future, also.

I stand corrected, it's. Mai. Still want Goten to appear, fingers crossed it's the Trunks from our current timeline, not the alternate one from the Cell Arc.

? Goten desn't exist in that future. I would love it too but I've accepted he's always going to be treated like the redhead stepchild by Toriyama and Toei

Is it me or what Goku Black's wearing is similar to a Time Patrol uniform (Trunks' is different but the one Goten has on Heroes is more like this)?

And that Time Machine is different from the one Trunks used, isn't it?
