How Strong Is Goku Black

How strong do you think Black Goku is going to be. Looks like Black Goku is going to be the Goku from Future Trunks' timeline, with that being said do you think he'll be at God level? Or maybe he'll be as strong as a SSJ3? I'm really curious about this because if he's not at least God level it's too easy to disregard him because we know Vegeta or Goku could just one shot him in an instant. And how strong do you think Future Trunks will be if say around SSJ2 Level

Stronger than Goku, at least. Otherwise, it would not make sense for him to be the main villain of an entire arc (and he is, as far as we know). Trunks, on the other hand, will be stronger than he was in DBZ, but way weaker than Goku and Vegeta (I'd guess he's on the same level as Piccolo or maybe Gotenks). But I also think that Trunks will be one of the main characters of the arc (hence the arc being named after him) and, because of that, he'll get an insane boost during the arc, maybe even reaching God level or something close to that.

Why don't characters from other universes count? They pretty much have no proverbial glass ceiling to hit like a majority of the core cast have in Universe 7, so they can be realistically as strong as the plot of Super wants them to be at any given time. This was made extremely apparent in the battle between Goku and Hit.

Piccolo destroyed the supposedly very strong barrier than Vados created with his charged Makankosappo. And if where to believe that Base & SSJ Goku = SSJG Goku, then Piccolo has essentially become God tier in strength in several months of training, as that charged Makankosappo would have taken down Final Form Frost, by Frost's own admission.

Again, if were to believe that Base & SSJ Goku/Vegeta = SSJG Goku/Vegeta, then Gotenks was able to hold his own, albeit briefly against, a God tier strength character.

No. It's more of a case of, just like GT, a lot of details are left unexplained or unexplored. That's why people are hard on the show.

I bet that he may be closer to Beerus at 100% full power. I don't think Toriyama's number system is no longer relevant. I think SSjB Kaioken Goku and Hit are close that level, but still below it.

Hit, Cabba, Frost, Botama, and Magetta are from a different universe where they had their own adventures and stories. So I don't see why it is so hard to believe that they are powerful, especially since they are the best in their universe. What you think the fighters from Earth are special snow flakes because we saw their progression.

Copy Vegeta is literally just Vegeta with his base form power, which is stronger than Gotenks, and Piccolo only did well against Frost because Frost got his ass kicked by Goku for several minutes and he was going easy on Piccolo since he was trying not to kill him. So that is not an example of strong as the plot demand. Tagoma got a hand wave explanation where he was 'trained' for four months. It is no more BS than Goku going from weaker than Vegeta to being stronger than Captain Ginyu, or the infamous three million jumped he somehow got just by Vegeta being him up when Ginyu had his body. Even Piccolo is guilty of this. In the Freeza Saga, he went from being killed by Nappa to fighting second form Freeze and according to Nail, he got stronger from training with King Kai despite him only being there for a couple of days. I am no sure why Super get jumped on for unexplained or under explained power jumps when Z is littered with them.

I don't see how Goku Black could be any threat if he's not at Zeno's level or at least Whis/Vados. I know it's probably not the case, and he's probably even weaker than Beerus.
But i mean, if Goku Black is weaker than the gods of destruction and whis/vados, but still stronger than our heroes, then whenever things go south - the gods/whis/vados will destroy him.
The way DBS is written is like this: a powerful enemy has arrived? stronger than even Goku and Vegeta? no problem, OP Whis is there if anything gets tricky. They don't have to struggle anymore like they did on DB and DBZ.
There are no more trump cards and last resorts.
So how are we supposed to take this arc seriously? unless they give Black Goku an OP ability or something like that, i can't see how he could be a threat.
